It is a retirement community
Played behind a 4some of two older couples. Took on average 10-12 shots apiece for group to reach the green. Proceeded to putt out and mark each putt so next player could put even if within a foot of the hole. We finally skipped a hole to get around them. No marshal presence on course to manage pace of play.
We come down every year to play this course in our tournament. The course is always in perfect shape. The greens roll true, the fairways are beautiful, and the bunkers are flawless. Once you are done playing I would recommend grabbing a bite to eat in the club house, the food is delicious. My only complaint would be is they have one starter that is pretty rude. Several times he has done things to upset members in our group. The rest of the staff has always been very friendly to us. I would recommend this course to everyone.
Great course
I really enjoyed playing this course for the first time. A variety of holes, challenging but able to be played in different ways to suit your game. The holes on the lake were beautiful views. Played the last few holes with another two-some, they were members, very friendly. Only complaint being that one of the ladies in the restaurant seemed to be totally incompetent. Asked me for my ID twice (then asked the stupid question if Tennessee accepted West Virginia licenses? Last time i checked its a government issued document). Outside of that minor annoyance great course and will play again when in the area.
