Gaylord Springs Golf Links
About
The Cumberland River gave birth to the Scottish links-style Gaylord Springs Golf Links, a par-72 golf course that provides 18 testing holes that border limestone bluffs and wetlands protected by the feds. The golf course, designed by the former U.S. Open and PGA Champion Larry Nelson, has collected several distinctions over its days.
The big draw on the Gaylord Springs Golf Links is the signature fourth hole, home to the hundred-plus-year-old springhouse that gives the golf course its name.
After a round on the Gaylord Springs Golf Links, head back to the 43,000-square-foot antebellum-style clubhouse to shop, dine, and take in the views of the golf course.

Not a true links course, but completely legit!
This place is mint. Green are perfect and hole set ups are awesome. Best round I’ve played since Spy Glass. Thank you for having us!
My Favorite Course Yet!
I played here recently and absolutely loved everything about this course. When you pull in the staff is there to help get your clubs out and offer range balls. The practice facility is one of the best I have ever seen. The course condition overall were incredible. Undulating fairways, fast greens, wind, and lots of water is what this course has to offer. The best part is, it is less than fifteen minutes away from the airport! I would definitely recommend this course to anyone in the area.
Best in Nashville
Was blown away with the course and facility! Course design was awesome. Conditions phenomenal. Staff outstanding.
First time playing it and I want to get back and play again. So many interesting holes. Elevation change, mounding, trees, and rock formations make this course a must play.
Worth every penny
Just a beautiful place from the drive in all the way to the club house I was blown away with this course. Greens are in great shape fairways so nice I didn’t want to hit my ball.
Excellent roubs
Once again Gaylord delivers on a great golf afternoon. Between the unhurried pace of play, excellent course conditions, exceptional staff, and beautiful layout you can’t ask for a better place to play in Nashville. Why play a 6 hour round on other public courses that don’t come close toy Gaylord when you can enjoy your afternoon here. It’s the only course I’ll play.
Waste
If you got 6 hrs you want to waste , then this is your course!
Really fun round
Had a great time. Tons of interesting shots and not a single meaningless hole. Played all of the clubs in the bag. Used rental clubs which were brand new (Taylormade M6). Round was kind of slow (4 hrs 30 mins for a twosome) but not enough to give a bad review. Would definitely recommend.
Distracting maintenance
Guy riding around in a huge tractor placing bails of sod around the course. Really loud and he was in our way a lot. I had to call the pro shop to get him to stop. Other than that it was enjoyable.
Challenging course
Just like the title says. Very challenging but very well designed. Lots of rolling fairways and greens are lightning fast. If you want a good all around challenge I recommend this course. Well worth the money.
Wow!
Stunningly picturesque, starting with the first hole. Nice glimpses of the river on the front nine. Absolutely the one great public course that is a must-play in Nashville. Challenging but not punitive. Clubhouse is gorgeous and staff is very pleasant.
Resort Golf
Gaylord Springs is a nice resort course. Plays in a river bed, but the river isn't really in play as there are enough trees lining the fairways on the water side on those holes.
It's resort-links style, so the rough was mowed just a little taller than the fairway. I could see it being tougher if they let it grow. A few holes, like 4/5 you need to play a couple times to figure out the right lines off the tee, but they were n ice holes. A lot of straight forward holes throughout, with several elevated greens.
Course was in great shape, save for the 16th fairway. Greens were like smooth carpet, even in twilight when I played. Stay below the hole as putts down can/will accelerate beyond the hole (as I sadly found out). They provided ice towels which was a nice touch on the hot afternoon.
It's a little on the pricey side, but it's worth a go if you're at the Opry resort or in town.
Mjbeard - Gaylord Springs Golf Links New
The Gaylord Springs Golf Course Organization has continuously improved all aspects of the layout (greens, tee boxes, fairways and the cart paths). The management organization is the best in the Nashville, TN area. Once you have played the Links layout you will be back again and again!
