Tanglewood Club

This course is usually wet, but finally played in dry conditions...seems to always be under construction in many areas....bunker sand levels were inconsistent. Last few times I've played, the course was packed with outings or leagues so ask before scheduling a tee time or you may be in for a long day.

Young crew working, so a lot of the times, they don't seem to know what's going on.

First time playing Tanglewood. What a great course to have so close to home! I only really had two complaints about the course, and one of them (maybe both) is something that should improve with time.

There are a number of fairways that are undergoing significant repair. Numerous drives down the fairway resulted in being buried in roped-off sections of mud and grass, never to be found again. Not a deal killer by any means, and the course outside of these well-marked and pre-warned sections was in good shape.

The other oddity was the fact that many sections of the course had extremely hard ground. In certain sections it felt like there was grass growing on concrete. This could purely be a time of the year thing, or because we teed off super early in the morning on a wet day, i'm not sure.

Overall, great layout, fun course, good value, will be back soon. can't wait to play it when the fairways are all repaired and fully playable.

Never played here before, will come back again. Bunkers do need some work

I’ve played here a handful of time and I genuinely really like the course and layout. It’s very scenic with the hills and rolling streams cutting through the holes. That being said, I doubt I’ll come back. The course needs desperate maintenance. Every single green was peppered with divots from guests not fixing them after their approaches. Almost every putt line has a divot making the greens unreadable. I was also left frustrated on the back 9 after a group of 7 kids, some of whom must have snuck onto the course, grouped together and slowed the pace down. 7 of them shared 2 carts, with some riding on the back of the carts. I noticed on the last hole that a group of them ran off to the road and loaded their clubs into a car before the rest drove the carts back to the clubhouse. They were dicking around and slowed the pace right down. The “ranger” drove around a couple of times and did absolutely nothing. Leaving our group and groups behind waiting 8-10 mins between shots while the 7 person group ahead of us played their shots. Totally unacceptable.

The starter warned the course played longer then the stated yardage. He was not kidding. Most holes had approach shot hitting to elevated green adding one club. No two holes were remotely similar. Played front 9 in two hours. Back 9 took over 2.5 hours. Had to wait on every tee box. Group in front were regulars who said play is never this slow. Had 7:50 tee time. With moisture on greens, they were terribly slow. Speed quickened as greens dried out towards end of front 9. Several intimidating tees shots that weren’t nearly as bad as perceived from tee box.Recommend course.

I like Tanglewood golf course. I don’t get to play it much now. It’s not too hard but has some beautiful holes, in particular hole #8, which is inspiring from the blues and blacks. The course is well maintained and drains pretty well. When I last went, hole 1 was a bit wet near the green but I think it was near sprinklers that may have just finished.

The staff was friendly and they have a decent beer selection with outside dining in the shade. Overall- a nice golf course.

Play here a few times every year. Usually in great shape and well worth it. Staff is nice and the pace of play was good. We did not wait at all. Got through our round in about 4 hours and I'll play it again this year for sure.

Beautiful course! A bit difficult but very scenic and staff was exceptionally friendly we will be back!

One of my best courses I have played in a while! Really fun yet challenging course! Also they might have the friendliest rangers I've met.
