Tanglewood Club

Great course, being my first time playing it, I found it oddly challenging to go to the next hole, and often needed trial and error to find the next tee box. This course could benefit greatly from more signs to direct traffic.

I've never seen this course in such disrepair. First and foremost, they have major issues with drainage, and they need to spend a lot of time and money on that, or this course is done, especially coupled with non existent upkeep. Not a single green or tee was blown off or cut. I've never seen a shaggier, slower green in my life. Every other course in my area is working to get their course into shape, while Tanglewood is doing absolutely nothing. Not a single person cutting grass or with a blower. Nobody planting the dozens of trees still out of the ground. I've never seen this course like this. I asked management if the greens keeper was on vacation, and he told me all of their equipment is in the shop. Disgraceful. This layout is nice, but whoever is running this place now is lazy, or not willing to pay people to clean and cut the course. I would be embarrassed if I owned this place.

Tanglewood is my go to course locally. It’s got some distance and a lot of elevation changes. Ball placement is key to good scores. They have put a lot of money improving the course over the past few years and it shows.

Played in a league in 2020. After a couple of hiccups, the staff pulled it together. The course has improved in its maintenance and consistency over the past couple of years. Mostly challenging, but enjoyable to test your game skills. Need some more distance markers. The sprinkler heads need to be addressed to replace missing yardag , a very simple task to measure and mark. Reasonably priced.

2nd time going to Tanglewood. First time had tee time, they got greedy and booked us on top of an outing. 6.5 hours to play 18 it was a mess. Went today for a 750 am tee time and no one was at the pro shop. Called to see whats up and they didn't even know what was going on. So drove 30 mins with my 8 year to golf on what maybe the last day of the season and was left hanging. Multiple other groups just sitting in the lot. No excuses Tanglewood, you need help!

I have played Tanglewood many times over the past 8 years and the course conditions continue to improve year over year. There’s a lot of variation per hole presenting all sorts of challenges and scoring opportunities. Pace of play can be an issue at times on weekends but golf is not a sprint.

Heard great things about this course growing up. Finally got around to playing it. Should have gone years ago instead. Course in rough shape. So too is the clubhouse and grounds.

Course was in very good shape. Challenging as always.

First time playing and liked the layout of the course. Was very wet but can’t blame on drainage due to amount of recent rain. In great shape for time of year. My pace was great without anyone else on the course but did see some others not happy with pace of play.

This is a really nice course and the staff is friendly. However there isn’t anyone monitoring the pace of play. There was a foursome playing ahead of us and it appeared they play golf once a year and have zero golf etiquette. They were taking no less than 20 mins per hole to the point several golfers behind us just skipped the hole and went ahead of them. Taking selfie’s and group pictures on the greens, hitting multiple mulligans and at point throwing the balls at each other. It took us 5:30 to play 18. Also beware of the 9’th tee box when coming from the 8’th. The cart path takes you blindly right in front of the blue tees. I really enjoy this course but I don’t think we’ll be back.

We got done in : hours considering we waited on the last 3 holes for play to clear. The greens were incredible, very fast. Fairways and rough was also better than when I played here before. Only had to move a ball a few times. Drainage was much improved. Only had to wait for a ground crew person edging a bunker on hole 10. HD was oblivious that we were waiting there. The bunker was unplayable anyway so i’m not sure why he was edging it. I would play here again.
