Course needs to be better maintained
For so early in the year the course was terribly maintained. there was no fluff in the sand traps there were multiple holes with mud in the middle of the fairway and big puddles. Yardage markers were hard to see and sometimes there was no red tee. Additionally, they let a fivesome play ahead of us which was incredibly slow. Glad at least it was a nice day and we did get a cary=t.

only 17 holes playable!
Love the layout but the 18th hole was under water.
It was great to be on a course.
If you're lucky enough to find yourself on a golf course, you are on a golf course. It was my first round of 2020 and with the pandemic going on, it was great to be on the course.
Even in the 30's with a few snow flakes, we had a great day, course conditions much better than a few years ago, new trees will be great once they are grown.
As a woman with average distance, still hate
hole number 10 HAHAHAHA!!
Disappointment
After booking on Golf Now was the first mistake..after today never will use service again. Been stung by non refundable fees even when golf course has called and canceled daily play... will book with courses direct.
As far as Tanglewood goes... booked a tee time for a friend and I. As it turned out it rained throughout the night and which became cart paths only....understandably. The problem was my friend up in age..has health limitations. With his limited mobility he cant play in those conditions. So I drove out to explained the situation and asked for a rain check. I was informed that their policy wouldn't allow it.
Playing this track several times a year.. I was of course disappointed. Never again ... in the past I've delt with mismanagement. But have always gave the benefit of doubt to the facility. But no more...several other choices nearby. Thanks for the memories.

Still An Excellent Course
Still early in the season. But the course is in very good shape all things considered! Love the layout. I know it well. Lots of fun today!

Last of the season
Great last round at Tanglewood. Fairways and greens in great shape, traps not so great but sort of to be expected this time of year. Really a nice challenging course with varied looks, subtle elevation changes and water on some holes. Laying up strategically is a must to keep high numbers of your card. Lots of leaves on the fairways but tis the season.
Good to be back!
This place is a little over an hour away, but we always make an effort to play here several times a season. We love the course. It's a terrific design with lots of elevation changes, hardwoods, water, and challenging holes. About the only problem this year were some dead spots due to way too much rain this Spring and early Summer. But the greens were perfect. They are quite large, fast, and a real test for your flat stick.
This was originally built and opened as a private country club, but forced to go semi due to falling population and the area being overbuilt for golf. I would say if you get a chance to play it, do so. It's a "pro style" layout.
Crisp autumn round
Had a frost last night so morning rounds were delayed, course in nice shape. Lots of holes slope left which can be a challenge if you slice. Greens are usually fast, course is nicely kept. Overall not a difficult course, I just make it tough on myself.

The course was in perfect shape. I played by myself and the 4 somes were cool and allowed me to play through. I played 18 in just over 3 hours.
