Tanglewood Club

Had a membership for a couple of years. Course is close by and it was reasonably priced. The past ownership was maddening. Repairs that were so small were never done. Yet they had to repair damage from simple drainage issues, instead of doing the repairs in the first place. Great job by the new owners to deal with these issues. The course is on its way back and I commend the new staff.

We hadn't played here in awhile and were surprised with the improvements. Pro Shop & Restaurant was remodeled. The new owners also added a golf fitness room, putting room and 2 TRackMan Sims. It was a busy day, but pace was good, starter and ranger both out there. Ranger was even out fixing ball marks on greens and cleaning up tee boxes. A few fairways were browned out due to the hot weather, but the greens were really good and true. A few new tee boxes were built and that bunker on 17 was redone.

Overall very impressed and job well done! We'll be back...

The fairways were tore up and not well kept although the greens were nice. Piece of play was so slow that after you finished putting you had to wait almost 25 minutes to tee off for the next hole. Ranger does not maintain pace of play and general conditions of the course were very poor. On the bright side, the staff is very friendly, but I would not pay $62 to play here ever again.

One of the nicest courses I’ve ever played. Absolutely beautiful course and friendly staff. Unfortunately, during our round we had an intoxicated golfer behind us. We had planned to let him play through (as he was on our behinds) however before we could tell him to play through he began yelling at us from a far. He became confrontational and yelled multiple obscenities at our foursome. We called the club house, but they truthfully didnt do anything about it other than apologize and talk to the guy. Clubhouse attendant stated before they let the guy out he was already “belligerent.” Even after they talked to this golfer, he was still yelling back obscenities to us. Still nothing was done by the clubhouse. Would’ve been classy to offer us something for our experience. Perhaps a partial refund? Future 9 holes? Maybe even a sleeve of balls? Great course, just unfortunate experience. Ruined our round after playing good money for the course

2nd time playing it this year. Getting better each round. One challenge area all round was the greens. Looks like they hadn't been mowed for a day or so so were slower than usual and a bit touchy to get the right speed as you did need to give the ball a solid putt. Also not the course's fault, but what is it about people not fixing their ball marks! Lots of ball marks on the green.

One concern though was an afternoon 9-hole league playing off the back. The starter sent them out as I was making the turn for a 18 hold round. So needless to say, things grounded to a halt on the back 9 with me needing to skip 10 and 11 to get ahead of the league and then come back to 10 and 11 to finish the round. I made the turn in 2 hours so they should've held off the league until I had passed through.

This course has improved so much in the last year. The new owners are investing in it and making it a great place to play. The tee boxes are above average, they are repairing the parts of the course that need it, and they’ve done a great job with the bunkers. The greens get beat up, but nothing worse than any other public course. This will easily be a 5-star play by the end of the year at the pace they are investing. Love it!

Great course that has seen some massive upgrades. Love playing here except it has been exceptionally slow this year. Not sure if they changed the time between tee times but my friends and I play at a very regular pace I would say and our rounds have been taking every bit of 4.75 hours to play. I still love the course but don’t love waiting on every hole to hit.

New ownership has been great for this course. They still have a way to go but the improvements are much noticed and welcomed. Tee boxes on some holes still need work but overall huge improvement!

The course would be more enjoyable if they wouldn’t let groups of little kids and teens sharing 1 bag play on a Sunday afternoon. Terrible pace, no ranger, nobody fixes divots or marks on the greens.
