About
The Legacy Golf Course is one of Robertson County's must-play courses. Opened in 1996, it is not as old as some other courses in the area but the designer, Raymond Floyd, took advantage of the existing mature woodlands spread throughout the lush, rolling hills. At 6,755 yards, the course is seemingly short but it is narrow, and be prepared to face troublesome hazards almost everywhere. It is notorious for making balls from even the most slightly errant shots disappear. It is a tough but fair challenge. The golf course starts with a tricky par 5 with a bunker on the right followed by a par 4 that requires a 200-yard carry or you'll surely be faced with trouble. The back nine at Legacy G.C. is slightly less difficult but there are still plenty of hazards as well as several blind shots.

Golfer Reviews
Totally Worth the Drive from Nashville
One of the top courses in the state without a doubt. Lots of variety in the hole layouts, greens & fairways make good use of the hilly plot of land and all elements of this track are kept in well above average condition.
Tee boxes were in good shape on all holes and the fairways, which had varying grade, often allow you to attack the green from different routes. Even our group of higher handicapped players kept their tee shots in "the short stuff" and didn't find the fairways to be as narrow as the description says they are.
Greens are always entertaining because you can be within six feet of the hole and easily three putt because of the breaks. A couple of the greens are massive so you get a great roller coaster ride going from one end to the other.
Bunkers, which I unfortunately visited several times, have very well kept sand. Even in the dead of winter after several inches of rain they were fluffy enough to splash the ball out of. Sadly can't say the same for many higher priced TN courses in the dead of summer!
Rated the Off-Course amenities as "Average" since the dining area is outdated. There are a number of nice TVs on the wall, but the chairs are super uncomfortable and the rest of the room (and the outdoor sitting area) could use an update. Have seen much worse though, and the staff in that room are all real nice so I have gladly enjoyed cold beverages on the premises. Pro shop is in good shape.
Legacy golf course
Really good greens for this time of the year. Most bunkers were in good shape and the price was excellent
GOOD COURSE TO PLAY BUT THE WINTER CONDITION WAS FACTOR AND THE CONDITION OF THE COURSE. IT WOULD BE GOOD PLACE TO PLAY IN SUMMER TIME, STAFFS WERE VERY FRIENDLY AND ACCOMMODATING.
Mjbeard - The Legacy
The golf course is well maintained during the year and was in excellent conditions Saturday morning @9:30 AM. The General Manager and I played the back nine. He provided details on the current and 2018 renovations.
Legacy Golf Course Remarks
An excellent course to play. Well laid out, somewhat challenging with the greens being the most challenging from a personal point of view. I have not adjusted to reading them correctly yet as they have some very subtle breaks which will make a good looking put just barely miss. Will definitely play again.
Great course
Great place to play if you’re in the area. Nice Floyd course, nothing to hard off the tee but the greens are undulating to say the least. Overall a great layout and highly recommended course to add to your list! Will definitely play again many times.
Excellent layout
Ive played golf nearly 60years. I would rate this as one of the best courses Ive ever played. Extremely intersesting holes with beautiful vistas. Greens are very chalenging as we were warned. Ray did a great job with this tract. $40 on golfnow. You could pay well over $100 and not get a better course.
Great Shape
Really like this course,it’s a bit challenging. I’m looking forward to playing it again.I was extremely impressed with the condition of it,especially the greens.
You MUST play here
I can't think of one thing to ding this track for. The biggest concerns are always the greens on any course, and this tracks greens are running true. Fairly fast, but true. They have a good amount of undulation, making them tricky to read the break, but to me, that's a good sign. The layout is very peaceful & scenic, with no two holes a redundant design. Good spongy fairways. Really good practice areas. Staff always super accommodating. This track is a good value, but with the golf now app ...it's a steal
Legacy Golf Course Remarks
A very good course which is well maintained. Greens are a bit tricky but in excellent shape. The "tricky" is probably due to my inability to always pick up the subtleties of the line of put. Course can bite you if you let your attention wander but overall a good test of golf on a well designed course.
Always a joy!
I have played this course many times over many years. This last time I would say that every issue that has existed in the past has been addressed and the course played very well with little to no issues. The fairways were nice and there is real sand in the bunkers. An overall enjoyable round.
Quality golf course
A well maintained championship golf course. A true challenge of golf with plenty of sloping fairways and greens guarded by well designed quality sand traps. No easy holes on this hilly golf course. I hope to play this impressive course again in the next visit to the area. Also walking the course is an added challenge with dramatic elevation changes from tee boxes to fairways and greens; and around water hazards.
Most challenging greens in central Tennessee
The greens on this course are very large and undulated, so you need to be on your putting game to play well.
A must play
* DEAD SHOCKED hardly anyone was out here. The course layout is challenging, with no two holes really alike. The greens were in great shape, and rolled fast and true. $16 with the golf now app just blows my mind that there is open slots. Totally worth the drive, if that's what you have to do. Pro shop staff was very friendly. You owe it to yourself to come play it.
Exceptional course
I have heard about this course but didn't anticipate it's condition and layout. This course was exceptional! I highly recommend everyone to come play it ASAP.
One of middle Tennessees finest.
it's one of the best public courses around Nashville and way cheaper than most of the others in this condition. Fun layout, challenging and in great shape.
Great course for value
I play here all the time since it's only about 10 minutes from my house. Love the value for the money and it's one of very few courses that remain in good shape year around. They had just aerated which was kind of a bummer but still a quality course at an outstanding price.
