About
The Legacy Golf Course is one of Robertson County's must-play courses. Opened in 1996, it is not as old as some other courses in the area but the designer, Raymond Floyd, took advantage of the existing mature woodlands spread throughout the lush, rolling hills. At 6,755 yards, the course is seemingly short but it is narrow, and be prepared to face troublesome hazards almost everywhere. It is notorious for making balls from even the most slightly errant shots disappear. It is a tough but fair challenge. The golf course starts with a tricky par 5 with a bunker on the right followed by a par 4 that requires a 200-yard carry or you'll surely be faced with trouble. The back nine at Legacy G.C. is slightly less difficult but there are still plenty of hazards as well as several blind shots.

Hidden gem
Legacy is a very tough course hidden in Springfield. Course where accuracy off the tee is a must or you'll be in trouble all day. Guy at front desk was very friendly, greens rolled well and fast. Working on a few bunkers right now but course is in prime shape.
Slowest round of the year
Great weather. The course is in very good condition overall. Fairways in good condition. The greens run fast and true. The course is challenging. Started our round at 10am, turned in 2:30. Was a very slow front 9, waited every shot. There were 3 groups backed up on a par 3 at one point. Slowed down even more on the back 9. Took us longer than 2:45 to play the back side. The group in front of us had a 2+ hole gap in front of them. There was never any course staff on the course monitoring play. Looking at past reviews, this is pretty much the standard. The course has read and commented on past reviews referencing slow play. They know slow play is an issue, I guess they don't care. They do nothing whatsoever to monitor play. It's a shame, the course is a challenge and good value overall. I don't think I'll be back though. If you decide to play, make sure you have plenty of time.
Great Layout
A great layout and the greens ran well. A few spots that need tended to but a really good golf course.
No so good
We played with a very nice gentleman, I was very disappointed with conditions of course. We drove 978 miles in one day to make sure we could play but was disappointed so the hard drive was not worth it
Nice value
Greens fast with significant undulations. Nice layout and value on hot deal on golf now.
Nice for early fall
Greens and fairways in good shape, several soggy spots from xs watering. Rough was high and mosquitos were plentiful.

awsome course but delayed play
I palyed golf with my wife, the course was kind of challenge to me, but it made me excited a lot and helped forcus on playing. but there was one thing that made me disappointed there. The pace of play was delayed enough to make me distracted. The front team played very slow so that it took 1 hour longer than the usual paly time. and No one had adjusted the pace of play.

Pace of play was a serious problem
Overall layout was okay but pace of play was a serious problem. We spent two hours playing the front nine. Not bad but it took two hours to play the next five holes! We quit after the 15th because it was stacked up ! They need a ranger to improve pace of play

Solid Course
This is a solid course, with a good layout that rewards good shots and punished being out of position. The greens could use a little work, but other than that, I would highly recommend this course.

Great Course
This is a fun and but tough course. Keep the ball out of OB and you will enjoy this course. The fairways are narrow on some holes, but most you have a chance of still having a second if your off the fairway.

Two words describes this course: CLASS ACT!
One of the nicest courses I've had the pleasure of playing. Rivals a lot of Myrtle Beach courses. Conditions were excellent! Course played tough enough.It was cart path only but fairways were not sloppy at all.Greens play fast with lots of undulations. I take a trip about once a month and play Fla., SC.,Ky., Tn., Al., ect. and this course is probably my favorite so far this year. Would love to play this course again. Had plans to play again two days later but the weather was awful for 4 days on this trip to western Tn. and had to cut my trip short.

Good course; great value
It was my sons birthday so we made a day of it at the course. Staff couldn't have been nicer. Course was in good shape. Heavy rain the night before made for cart path only but course played very well. We will definitely be back. .

Fantastic layout. Greens and fairways in great shape
This was my first time to play The Legacy and I'll definitely be back. The greens fees were very reasonable. The course layout was somewhat challenging, but fair. The greens rolled very fair, but quick. Very rarely did I have a flat putt. Ball position off the tee it crucial. Long hitters should rarely hit driver. Use a 3 wood to ensure you hit the fairway. Balls can be easily lost on most holes. Staff was very courteous and friendly.
Make the drive from Nashville or Bowling Green. You won't be disappointed.

Great layout -- lots of elevation changes and different length/shape holes. Very challenging course but very fair. Greens were in great shape, and the course was in very good condition. For less than $40 through online reservations, this was a steal. Highly recommended.

Great Course; Poor Pace and Poor Staff
Great course conditions and layout. A very challenging course for beginners. Unfortunately, the pace of play was horrid. We got stuck behind "regulars" which were apparently immune to the marshal's warnings about their pace of play. Took us 5.5 hours to get in 18 holes. Would've taken longer had we not told two of our guys to stop playing miss-hits. Also got delayed by 2 hours due to staff. Arrived 5 minutes before our tee time, ready to play. All we needed was the cart. Went to check in with the front desk and they would not see us for 10 minutes because he was carrying on a personal conversation. Because of this issue, we had to wait 2 hours to be fit into a grouping. Awful on the management's part.
