Golfer Reviews
First time
Course was a fun layout cart situation is a bit confusing you are supposed to pick one up in the parking lot load your gear then switch to another one at the starter due to being paired with another single player. Greens were sanded and punched but still played pretty good hole placement was forgiving and welcomed pace of play was swift but relaxed played a 4 ball and only had to wait a couple times and was never pushed. Look forward to playing here again
I play course somewhat regularly and really like almost everything about it. It is as near a well-maintained private course as I can find in NE Houston. Pace of Play-excellent, Staff-very friendly, Course condition-(usually) fantastic.
They just sanded & punched all of the greens, which is good for long-term condition, but it would be nice if they let you know this OR reduce green fees for the week after. Also, the range balls are getting really 'long in the tooth' and are in need of replacement...soon.
With these somewhat minor improvement opportunities, this track is my Go-To course and I'm proud to bring friends/family to play a round. Now that's an endorsement.
Greens
The greens were in pretty rough shape
Several greens were more sand than green
Overall, not impressed
Made the trek from inner Houston to this course because I had never played it. Overall, the course really lacks beauty in my opinion. Lots of holes that look almost identical to one another. Greens were bumpy. Greens were also hard as a rock, which made this course much more difficult than it should be in a bad way. I am a 5 handicap and getting the ball to stop anywhere near the hole was very difficult. Just did not seem like it was set up to be fair.
Seemed like it hadn't been watered in weeks. Lots of dead spots. Had great pace of play on the front, but the back 9 was SOOO SLOW. Took us almost 3 hours to play 9 holes and the martial did not seem to care.
For the price you pay at this course ($60), you are much better off at different courses around the area. I will not be back.
Good value
This course is in mid to good shape for the east Texas area. The greens are by far the one the best in the area; they are fast, but give true lines. All n all, it is a great course for the value.
All good
Everything was good. Had to wait for an hour for a cart. Which you had to keep on checking back with the cart guy. Just to find out the only way to get a cart was to grab one while other people unloaded into their car. So I could only play 13 holes. Because they had no golf carts.
Course was in great shape. Greens were excellent. Staff was very helpful and friendly. My first time playing this course. I enjoyed my day there!
Avoid. They book 5somes
Booked as a single and got paired up as a five some. Was stuck behind multiple 5somes so I guess it’s normal to do here. Over 5 hour round was painful. No grass on the tee boxes either
Atascocita
Really enjoyed the round. Haven't been here in over a year. Course in nice shape. Didn't get to play our favorite 9, The Point, but the other two are great.
