Golfer Reviews
Arascocita
Great course the pace of play was excellent and the course in great condition after lots of rain two days before. The greens were fast and a good challenge.
Needs work
Overall the courses are very good, as of lately the tee times have been so stacked that slow play has become an issue, to the point of me no longer making The big A my go to place for a round of golf. Here are a few things that need dire attention
-stacked tee times=slow play
-tee boxes are in Uneven and over played
-bunkers are like mud
-carts are outdated and often breakdown
- driving range mats are in horrible condition and location of mats should be elevated from water and dirt run off. Mats should not have concrete directly under them .
-push carts should be placed on a different course
Good points
-friendly staff
-large driving range and practice areas
-3 courses of rotation
-programs for beginners
Great Round
Good pace of play even playing by myself until the last few holes which was to be expected. I got lucky Excellent fast greens which I like.
Interesting
The layout of the course was interesting going through neighborhoods and all the homes around the course. Then crossing the streets with the golf carts was interesting too. Not in a bad way at all. I will definitely play there again. The greens were a great challenge with some steep angles where if you miss your ball will roll 30 feet. Great value and I did not notice the last two holes the cart has to stay in the path but the staff was friendly in telling us. We had a fast round and we will be back.
Fun Course
Greens were in great shape and pace of play was excellent. Good value and a reasonably challenging layout
Outstanding Golf Experience
Exceptional course. There are 27 holes broken up into three course's, (Pinehurst, Point and Shores) all three have distinct and different challenges to test your golfing ability. Like many courses, the first hole gently welcomes you into the round, then the adventure begins. Some holes require shaping your tee shots left to right or right to left. Approach shots will be to elevated greens or forced carry over water hazards to ongelating green's. The greens are a putting delight, true and pure. The entire bag is in play at this course.
Side note: added bonus they provide range balls at no charge. How cool is that.
Decent course horrible pace
Group of 4 playing in front of us had my group of 4 plus another 8 players stacked on the tee box waiting. Marshal came by twice saying he would push them but nothing changed. Seemed like they were giving golf lessons and each person hitting two balls for every shot.
Solid neighborhood course
Very solid course for price. Houses along most of course, but it is in great shape. Layout is a little basic, but the course & greens are challenging.
