Golfer Reviews
Great course
Challenging course with almost all Green’s elevated. Green’s drain good and roll well.
First Time
I thought I’d try a new course, especially for a good price. I enjoyed playing with a group of regulars. I found the course a little repetitious. Straight fairways moderately wide with a few green side traps and a pond here or there. Unless your approach shot is very high or you land short of the green, it is hard to stop the ball on the green. Greens seemed to putt true and had some moderate contours. Course is a little far from home but I will be back.
Excellent value for the money
The ground outside of the fairways were very hard and the greens were fairly hard - but on the slow side funny enough. I'm sure if it rains a little bit the course would be even better. Staff was very friendly. Make sure you get your slice or hook under control because there are houses on each side of almost every hole. I'll definitely come back.
Great People, A Real Find for a little Drive
Yess, its a bit of drive but worth it! Staff is warm and welcoming! They does everything possible to keep refreshments available within the rules. The good lady running the pro shop is so pleasant, joy to speak with. The people, yes, other players, r very nice. One fellow even directed, while walking to the tucked way pro shop! The course has some of fastest but fair greens I’ve played in this region. It’s true that I’d love to keep this secretly away from others, but Life’s to short and all should enjoy these three tracks!
Rained off
Course was in good condition but bad weather caused round to be curtailed. Rain check was issued with no problem.
Interesting course
A buddy of mine, has the monthly membership to use driving range and access to play at a discounted rate. Told me I should try it. Well I did with him and wasn’t disappointed at all. The course has 3 sets of 9 holes to play. The SHORES opens up with some water on the first 2 holes. Loved the PINEHURST side better. The greens there were in excellent condition.
Overall a solid B and with more rain and attention to certain areas on the SHORES, this is an actual gem of a golf course.
I will definitely be back!
Getting better
The course is getting in better condition. Still has few bare spots on the fairways and greens but grass finally filling in. Tee boxes need some work. Can twist an ankle on some of the divots since there is no sand issued due to virus. Cart girl made it around to us once on the front 9 and 3 times on the back 9 so we could stay hydrated. Overall fun day even though it was CPO because of the drenching we got yesterday.
Hidden treasure
Buddy and I played over the weekend. Played Shores and Pinehurst. Great layout with elevation change, slopping greens, blind shots, and some forced carry. Played with course marshal and his wife...really enjoyed the company along with guidance of each hole layout. Will return...
Love the course and the staff. Looking forward to my next visit/round.
Great Course
Greens are looking much better! Some Tee boxes still need a bit of work. Challenging from the tips. Shot 82, I'll keep coming back for more. Twilight price and pace of play make this place a 4.5 stars overall.
GP
Great course great value for the money everything was good except for the people behind us we’re hitting balls at as while we were still hitting on the fairway, other than that I would definitely recommend this course it’s a nice course.
A HIDDEN GEM!
Three nine-hole courses, alternating nines. Great speed of play, Tee arrangements, lack of fairway bunkers, adequate number of green traps and water hazards generates good speed. All staff members encountered were exceptionally friendly and outgoing. Starters and Marshall’s were friendly and helpful with directions and guidance. More than adequate course accommodations, under normal circumstances, but had to close for COVID19 precautions. Pro shop had limited kitchen facilities - Hot Dogs & Pizza Slices, draft beers and mixed drinks, packaged snacks and soft drinks at reasonable prices. Did not utilize or tour the club house facilities. An exceptional outing with Golf Now hot deals.
Family outing
Ken and his staff make sure that you will enjoy your round of golf. My son and I took my grandsons to play with no additional charge for them to play and ride.
Average Course
I booked through GolfNow app and received a great deal. Im not from area but wanted to play. The course is not bad over all. The greens are really hard and extremely hard to stop on. But once on it they are super slow but roll pretty true. Fairways are sub par. If I was in in the area and received another good deal on playing I would. I played the Point and Pinehurst course.
We had a good time, the course was in fairly good shape for the time of year. Greens were sanded but still rolled fairly true. enjoyed the layout played bad but not the fault of the course. The staff was friendly and helpful. We will try again later in the year.
Great course with good facilities and friendly staff. Pace of play was a bit slower than anticipated. Greens are in the last stages of a makeover and a little firm making hard to stop the approach but the roll is good And true.
