Cleburne Golf Links

The course is getting better after quite a bit of damage to the greens during the winter. Some greens still have very rough areas where patches were placed. Recent aeration also has the greens a little bumpy. Course could use some more water in some places. Some players need to work on their golf etiquette as well. Overall the course is getting better.

Played 18 in 4-4.25 with a foursome. You are at the farthest point on the course at the turn, so you don't hit the clubhouse until you finish 15. With the links style layout, you have a lot of room to save errant shots. Greens were in great shape. Wind off the lake comes into play on about 2/3 of the holes.

some greens need help,if wind is up this course plays alot harder.

My first time at Cleburne Golf Links. Course is on the lake with nice views and is in great shape except for the putting greens. Greens had issues with browning bald spots.

One of the best staff in the DFW area, best hamburgers in Texas. Overall two thumbs up!!

The greens have some dead spots fur to the harsh winter and some drought. Too bad since usually they excellent. Still good enough to play.

This coarse is fairly easy. Only thing that I do not like is that you don't get back to the club house till hole 16.

Good luck putting here. Every green had big dead areas. Almost every sign has been hit by a mower. This course needs repair. Maybe next year will be better.

This is usually a decent course for the money. But the greens are in terrible condition right now, bare spots, bumpy, and the grass that is on the greens is a little too long. While I only had 36 putts, I should have had about 4-5 putts less. I could not get 5-6 foot putts to roll smoothly they were so bumpy due to bare spots. Nice clubhouse and friendly staff are the bright spots.

Course was in good shape. Greens need more attention. Overall good experience.

Great course for value. Fairly easy.......reachable par 5's, wide fairways....very nice par 3's. Overall very good course that is always easy to get out on, never busy!.....Greens still have bad spots in them; However usually have to putt through them on 2 putt distances/ so not really an issue.

Layout of the course is good, but there was a lot of winterkill on the greens that created bumpy putts. The wind is with you on half the holes and into you on the other half. Course is fairly open and very playable for everyone from beginners to low handicappers. I would like to go back later in the year and see if the greens have improved

It's hard ro complain about a course that I just shot the 2nd lowest round of my life of -1, 71. Texas in spring @ the lake you can expect wind of course, it was cranking @ 20mph. All I can say is be sure and get those birdies when the hole is with the wind. This adds to all the beauty of this links style course...you almost feel like you are @ the old course in St. Andrews. ..without the cold. Greens are comming along very nice for this time of year, had alot of true putts so they were falling. Fairways are also comming along nice also. My hat is off to the maintenance people and courteous staff!

The facilities are great...nice clubhouse....the greens were bumpy but were coming in nicely and with the late cold spells will get better each day..

Greens are a little patchy but rain or watering should help..Staff friendly!

We have played this course many times over the last couple of years. Although it has always been in really great shape, we were surprised that it was not as good as other times. However, we probably should have waited another month or so to play it. The fairways and greens have not filled in yet. But, we plan to go back in a few weeks. I have no doubt it will be in great shape. It is an extremely fun course to play and the staff and facility is wonderful. Great time and great value for the money.

Well the course is in pretty good shape for the first part of April. It's turning green quick and should be much better in a few weeks. Staff is always friendly and the food is great and cold beer to boot!

Enjoyed playing the course except for the tight fairways and a lot of hard pan in the fairways.The greens were very nice with a smooth role.The wind was about 15 to 25 mph which really makes a links course much harder,but that's golf.I hope to play there again after some rain and there's more grass on the fairways.

The course could use some clean-up here and there. A lot of debris and trash piled up that needs to be removed. Greens and fairways are still a little rough. The staff did honor the Golf Links discount even though I moved my tee time up. Good experience overall.
