Burned Out
All the greens were basically dirt. The was no grass. The fairways were burned to a crisp. My guess is they don’t have a sprinkler system.
Worst in Texas
Comfortably the worst maintained course in Texas. If you have the opportunity to play here, don’t.

Terrible condition
While the course has potential, with a nice layout and great views, the condition was completely unacceptable. Fairways were non-existant, tee-boxes were in terrible shape, and the greens were dirt. Not patchy grass and sandy- complete dirt. Easily the worst condition course I’ve ever played. I would give it zero stars if I could.

Lake Travis GC review
The clubhouse is closed, course extremely dry, three holes missing flagsticks, no bunkers have sand, tee boxes are rough, grass on greens were nonexistent. No water to drink on the course. At one time this was probably a beautiful course with a great layout.

Don't waste your time or money
No staff on hand when checking in. 8:00 am. Had to put gas in carts ourselves. All the grass in the fairways was burned up, no watering. Very little grass on the greens. They were mostly brown not green. The course should be closed till it is really ready for play.

Painful Golf
Well.....I will start by saying that the owner is really really nice and I wish him all the best. Unfortunately besides the golf carts being in good condition, everything else is a disaster including the road to check into the golf course. In a nut shell, this course should be condemned from play. The greens are like putting on dirt with very small patches of grass here and there but mainly just hard dirt. Everything else is just really dry! I wanted to go home after the first hole but decided that spending time with my son was more important. Good Luck to the owner!

Play Elsewhere This is a Bad Track
Golf Now should be ashamed to promote this alleged course. There is no clubhouse you have to drive down a potholed road to a shed to check-in.
Welcome, hole number 1 is out of play. Every green is sand. Every fairway is dirt with patches of scrub grass. The bunkers are overgrown grass and unplayable. This is the worse course I've played in over 25 years.
Waste of time and a waste of money! Go to play anywhere else.

The course was in bad shape. The greens were brown dirt and bunkers were completely grown over.

Good potential, bad course
Course has potential. Nestled between a beautiful neighborhood and Lake Travis it’s just fallen into a state of disrepair. Greens aren’t existent. Everything is dry. I can only imagine what a little money would do to the place.

Greens had been shaved and almost no grass left
Great Views though and great lay out. Can not blame Covid, played another course this week that was immaculate.

Good little track but no grass on the greens. Price reflects that.

Course will be great in the future.
Course isn’t in very good shape at the moment. The new owner just purchased it, so that is why it’s the way it is at the moment. Met him before the round, extremely nice, provided water for the round. All in all, once the course is in better shape, it will be a fantastic course. Scenic but also challenging.

So bad
This is the worst course I have ever played in my life owner is nice but seriously the greens are dirt, sand traps empty. A lot of potential but just sad

No one is watering the course and it is dying.
The greens are browns with little grass. No sand in sand traps, The deer are on the course, but have nothing to eat (they find grass from the homeowners along the course who water). This was once a nice course. So sad!

Bummer
This course has tons of potential, but the course is in terrible condition. Since COVID has closed most of the courses in Austin, we drove about an hour out to Lake Travis. Really wish we would have spent our drive going somewhere else to play. The greens are completely destroyed and brown - 100% unplayable. If you’re looking to keep score playing out there - forget about it.
Will definitely be spending my driving time finding other courses until Austin munys re open.

Brown greens
Sandy greens and unkept rough. A lot of deer and good views, but that’s about it. We were all disappointed.

Don’t waste your money
Arrived at the course and had to park at the maintenance building. Checked in via text. Tee boxes were overgrown, fairways were horrible, and the greens were non existent of any grass at all. On the bright side, they had nice golf carts

Has great potential
Owner just bought the course 6 weeks ago . Greens are a little rough but this course has the potential to be phenomenal. We payed 20$ for 18 and a cart. Totally worth it. Will go back for sure

What a shame...
I have played this course once or twice a year for over a decade. It used to be one of my favorites. Unfortunately it is now in the worst condition of any course I have ever seen. Overgrown fairways are a pain due to loosing your balls. But the most surprising part is that the greens have been completely abandoned. They are now comprised of mostly dead grass, pebbles and dirt. Sand traps are terrible too. They are comprised of hard packed old sand and weeds.
I still do love the elevation changes and views from this course. Hopefully someone will buy it and start to maintain it once again...

Browns vs Greens
The best part of this course would be the scenery. No sand in the sand traps - tons of weeds though. The greens were non existent and I actually burned on every hole. But, I will say that it’s open fairways and you can play pretty fast.
