Never ever play here.
They let you touch green holes and flag pole. Not following covid rule. Green has to grass. Cart path horrible. Staff was very friendly. But fxxx just dont play period.

LOL
I have not played this course in awhile. This course is in horrible condition. There is not one blade of green grass on the greens. Putting is very difficult & increased your score The fairways are in need of a lawn mower. Time of play took a half hour longer due to looking for your ball in the deep fairway grass. Course is in need of water & Greenkeepers. It will be a long time before I play this course again.

Worth the drive
Always have liked this course. A little rough on the upkeep, but that’s why it’s cheap. Beautiful views and very challenging layout.

Needs work
Nice people but the greens were dead and pure brown not green. Nice scenery and a good location but needs TLC.

Good layout in disrepair
This is a fine, challenging course that has fallen on hard times. Everything is in rough condition. Check in for tee times is at the maintenance shop, which makes for an odd start to the round. From that point on it’s 18 holes of disappointment at what could be a great course.

Some maintenance would go a long way there, terrible conditions but could be a good one with a lot of tlc

Terrible course
The greens have no grass, hasn’t been watered. Not worth the money.......it’s like playing a cow pasture.

Course is rough, but worth the money
Very scenic course, don’t expect any amenities, they just reopened after being closed for a couple years. They’re doing their best to keep it in decent shape. Low price makes it worthwhile.

Disappointed
I don’t want to kick them while they’re down but I’ve never played a course that needed more TLC. The course has potential, a nice layout and views. Greens have little or no grass, grass/weeds are overgrown around greens and the fringe on sides of fairways. Course needs watering, fertilizer, and mowing.

Rough conditions but inexpensive to play
The course is in rough condition. The owner said he had been closed for past 3 weeks due to covid 19. No sand in traps, greens brown, bumpy, and sandy. The good thing was I played 18 and did not see another golfer lol. Irons off of most tees due to the layout of the holes. Hopefully the owners put money into improvements. This course would be good with some TLC. I would give it another chance in the future.

Needs some major TLC
No one on course, so that was great. But tee to green, the course is in bad shape. I guess the money ran out from the investors. I really like the layout as you need to shape shots off the tee left to right and right to left or simply straight. Also had some very picturesque holes. This course would be fantastic with good conditions. But, I guess that's also why it's only $20 with cart. Note that there is no access to food or drink at the course. The Grille restaurant opens at 11, but only water or sodas can be put in a to-go cup. We actually had a beer at the turn but needed to finish before we left for the back nine.

Back again
We played here 2 months ago and I reviewed the course then.
Rains and concerted upkeep have improved the conditions.
We love the layout and views. No range. Practice green poor. Tee boxes and fairways are greening up nicely. Number 1 green is still poor. The rest are looking better. We decided on a two- putt within 25’ rule. We’re usually grip it and rip it golfers; learning course management.
Yes, you need to take your own water and munchies. For the price it’s hard to beat really. We’ve decided to move this course UP in our rotation of where to play.

Even the GolfNow price was too high
Do not, DO NOT, waste your money on the drive out here. The course is in terrible condition. The sad part is the routing is interesting and has a lot of great views. What a shame there is absolutely no maintenance going on here.
I played the course last summer it was marginal then. It has gotten worse.
If you don't care about good tees, fairways, greens, bunkers, or rough, give it a go. Otherwise, avoid Lake Travis CC at all costs.

Dear lord! Please help Lake Travis GC
This course was once the crown jewel of Lago Vista! The course lay out is fantastic with fabulous views of lake travis. Now is in desperate need any kind of help it can get. The tee boxes are uneven and over grown, the fairways have multiple varieties of wild central Texas grasses and clover and the greens appear dead with this same weeds trying to take over which make them nearly unplayable. Every bunker on the course has zero sand and are either dirt or completely grown over with weeds and native grasses. The cart paths are a disaster and in complete disrepair. At this point the course is a embarrassment to the community. I truly hope it gets restored to its former glory because It’s one of the most beautiful and challenging courses in the greater Austin area.

Diamond in the ruff
Great course layout and cannot beat the cost! If you want a awesome course to practice on this is it! I will say it is not the most up kept course at all. Sand traps have zero sand and greens need a lot of work. But for average golfer it’s perfect.

They shoulda paid me to play! Course in terrible condition and not maintained at all. No water out and trash cans full w trash everywhere.
Greens were horrid. Go to Lago Vista golf course instead If you’re playing in Lago.
