About
Sawmill Creek Golf Resort & Spa sits along the banks of Lake Huron with Sarnia to the East and London just 45 minutes west. The course has a links-style layout that stretches to 6,782 yards from the back tees. Designed by Rene Muylaert, the creation of the golf course required over a million tons of earth to be moved to the site. It was then molded and shaped into rolling terrain that offers a tough but fair test. The namesake creek comes into play on 13 holes and there are also several strategically placed bunkers that lurk beside the greens. There are some tricky holes but it's not overly punishing to the high handicapper. In addition to the golf course, Sawmill Creek also has a driving range available for warming up.

Front 9 was much better than the back 9!
The pro shop was so friendly, we got out in the morning on an unseasonably warm day before the crowd. The course was great in the front, the greens were fast and rolled good. Everything was in great shape and the bunkers were perfect! We were driving down 1 fairway talking about how this was a heck of a deal for the price we paid. The back 9 felt like an entirely different course honestly, and we were definitely disappointed. I would play the front 9 again for sure, and maybe they’re just redoing the back 9 or something, but it wasn’t that good.

Amazing course, superior condition, and prime staff. This is the second time I’ve left something at this course and the staff has always found it and held it for me. Top notch customer service!

Staff was extremely friendly, course in good shape going into winter. Tough course but really enjoyed it. Will come back next season

Tough to Tame Sawmill
If I could putt these spacious FAST greens, I might be able to score & break 80. The wind is always an issue, but this day from south, so playing 2,3,8,12,15,17 with helping breeze..... I parred my nemesis Hallway Hole #12. The greens are so awesome, lots-of-break to even 4'-putts. They are so huge too, I applaud anyone who goes the round without a 3putt. I hit Driver well (9or10 fwys), and fairways are really nice too, cut just right to allow ball to perch up for clean shots. The sand bunkers are well kept........but as usual, score on Sawmill is dependent on putting & windy conditions.

We were impressed with the course conditions and obvious attention to detail since playing there two years ago. The greens were fast, and the fairways were perfect. We will definitely return!!
Great this year
This year one of the best. We play every year before visiting put in bay. The course was in great shape, pace was good, and the staff as always very friendly.
If it's a rainy day beware cause the course can hold some water but staff work to keep it playable. Just a great experience here.

Only got to play front nine was terrible because excessive watering and greens full of sand since back nine was closed had to play front nine again. Please credit my account $20
