Meadows/Woodlands at Shaker Run Golf Club
About
Shaker Run Golf Club offers 27 holes of championship golf. 18 holes were designed by Arthur Hills while the remaining nine came from the design team of Michael Hurzdan and Dana Fry. The holes are divided into three nines that are played in three different 18-hole combinations. All of the nines have different characteristics but they share a rolling landscape that is unusual for a golf course in Ohio. The Meadows nine is considered to be the gentlest of the three nines since it doesn't have the trees and water that the other two do, but it still provides a good challenge. The golf course has a memorable finishing hole with out-of-bounds along the entire right side leading to the double-tiered green.

#9 Lakeside Photo submitted by stover3928 on 10/18/2012
Great course, poor condition
This is a great layout with many differing holes and unique features. However, the course conditions were poor, especially the greens. Several were bordering on un-puttable.
Never come back again in this season.
Green was horrible. There were too much sands and no grass on the green.
conditions lacking
The fairways and tee boxes were in good shape but the greens were terrible. Nice layout but I would not have played the course had I known the condition of the greens. Fix the greens and I'd recommend.
Greens on Woodside are very rough however Lakeside and Meadows were nice.
Overall the course was in good shape for a drought season.
Great Course Design, Greens in terrible condition
Shaker Run is a fantastic layout. However, the greens are so bad on the original 18 holes they should be played as an automatic two-putt. The worst greens I have ever seen, which is a shame for such a great course.
Woodlands was good, Meadows needed help.
Woodlands was the first nine, Meadows was the second. There is a third nine, Lakeside, which we didn't play. I understand the Woodlands and Lakeside are the original 18. Meadows was thrown in after, and it certainly appeared that way. It seemed as if they were short on budget and neglected the new nine in order to keep up the original 18. A nice track, but if you go to play, I would try for the original 18. Otherwise, a discount would be necessary when playing the Meadows, as the quality of design and condition was discounted as well.
Love the layout of the original 18.
Great value for the money. The course is not as well kept as it was ten years ago and has a few issues like some unplayable bunkers but the greens roll true.
