Falling off steeply behind the green, the par-4 first hole may cause agony should you end up in this area (unless you pitch the ball like Matt Kuchar). Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 08/07/2025

Hitting the green at the third, a par-4 that runs 367 yards, is made more difficult by its elevated surface–sitting well above the fairway. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 08/07/2025

The magnificent sixth hole is both a beauty and a beast. It plays downhill off the tee, then straight uphill to this green. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 08/07/2025

Your tee shot at nine must traverse a pond to reach the perched green at this par-3 of 182 yards. A pair of swans graces the pond itself. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 08/07/2025

Seen here in the late afternoon, this is the par-5 fifteenth. It is the longest three-shotter on the course at 554 yards. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 08/07/2025

Fall Conditions / Drought
The greens are in good shape the fairways are showing the effects of the drought with several dry,/brown spots throughout the course.
beatiful setting, great course
Haven't been to Newport in two months but it was great. I got my first eagle of my life today on the second hole (OK, it was a mulligan ball from the gold tee - I'm old - but it was still fun to chip up from below the green and find find my ball in the cup). I got my first birdie at Newport at the beginning of the summer. Wonderful golfing at Newport.
Wonderful course in a beautiful setting
We go to Crown Point any time we can get there because the course is in great condition and the surroundings make it a wonderful place to be be outside.
Worth the trip for me
Came from an hour away. There was a frost delay and we still got off on time. Not as green as you would like but water has been hard to come by this summer. It is a good intermediate course if you play whites. I will play this course again!
Crown Point
Course has plenty of length and challenge off the tee with elevation changes and sidehill lies. Greens are generally small but not especially interesting. Many greens are protected by large and deep bunkers. Conditions were just average but fine considering end of summer weather. Overall, worth a visit if you are in the area and not willing to pay resort prices for golf.
Was probably good some time ago
Nothing in the proshop. The course was half brown like they haven't watered in weeks. Evidently the pro left last year and it looks like they never recovered.
Beautiful scenery; wonderful course
I travel 2 hours each way and my golf partner is one and a quarter hours each way from Crown Point. It is worth the ride. The right amount of hazards and distance for our skill level. Course is kept in wonderful condition. Friendly staff. We're already signed up for next week.
Beautiful scenery; wonderful course
This was the second time in the last month my golf partner and I played Crown Point. We find it to be a great course for our intermediate skill level. Challenging, yet not to the point that we get frustrated (we play the shorter tees). Wide fairways, for the most part, and not so many water hazards that we lose a large number of golf balls. A good variety of terrain and distance to the hole
It’s In Great Shape!
Played on a HotDeal for a crazy good rate. Course is on top of Covid 19 rules. They sent us out as a twosome, in a newly sanitized cart. Played 18 holes in just over 3 hours.
This course has beautiful Vermont scenery and the greens are in excellent shape. Give it a try!
