Hanover Golf Club

It is a Bermuda grass course and it has been over seeded. However, it is very thin and the ball does not sit up, even in the fairway. The Bermuda rough is weak and the ball sinks, making it very tough to even find it. Greens are decent, but beat up in spots. Some tees are OK, some are in rough shape. Clubhouse is closed M-W.

I guess I can’t complain for $38 on golf now, but I lost 8 balls being just off the fairway. The rough is so deep, you’d think they were hosting the US Open. The fairways are just mud with wisps of grass. We haven’t had rain in the area in two week, but the fairways look like they were starting from scratch with trying to grow grass. Shouldn’t look like that in late October.

The back 9 here sucks. We hadn’t seen another golfer until the back 9 where it becomes a log jam. Holes 11-15 basically all run together with people hitting back and forth across multiple fairways. We had a great pace going for a miserable round right up until the hole 11. Won’t be playing at Hanover again.

It never ceases to amaze me that I can play this beautiful course for such a great price. Everyone is always very helpful and nice every time I come to play. Will definitely be getting a membership in the near future

This was a great course but it was very challenging. You were often punished for hitting driver off the tee but the course design was so well done one of my favorite courses. Every hole felt like it was the signature hole. I felt small plauing this course.

The course is very very interesting. Lots of undulations, height variations, tight fairways and wonderful greens. It was my first time playing this course and will definitely be back as it helps to know the layout of the course. Staff were very helpful and accommodation. Greens were excellent but challenging to read. Would love to play here regularly.

Love the biggest surprise in Hanover County on #10. And still love SENDING it!

The course had just been reseeded and I was not expecting that. They should have let the players know condition. Lost balls in fairway grass had not been cut and the high grass slowed play everyone looking for balls price high for conditions. Cart pass only made it difficult for handicapped person.

Hanover offers a scenic and fun course with fairways and greens that are well maintained. Great value for this course

Fun layout with a lot of elevation change, especially the front nine. Rough currently pretty thick making it easy to lose a ball and takes time to hunt them down even a few feet off the fairways or greens, which can slow play. Greens have a few dead spots but mostly right by the fringe and not near pins. Cart paths are in terrible shape, extremely bumpy and uneven. I've been less jostled on a ship in a hurricane with 20 ft swells. :)
