It's funny how if I go a week or two without playing here, I actually miss it! Other than Royal New Kent, I don't feel that way about any course!

I always enjoy this course! The staff is always friendly and the course as always fun to play.

I enjoy playing this course as much as any other course in the entire area! I was a little disappointed because of the condition of the fairways, but I'm hoping that this will improve as the year goes on. Also, this layout and the differences in attitude make this course absolutely beautiful!

It's amazing that a course this nice it's so close to Richmond yeah it makes you feel like you're in the mountains of Virginia! Just a fun day every time!

Great conditions considering it’s Dec 30 and had rained recently. Course was wide open and a single could finish play in about 2.5 hours. Friendly pro and great value. Will be back again soon!

It was 3 of us first time playing there. Of coarse trying to figure out layout. Players behind us called the office said we where slow. Nice guy from club house came to talk to us. We told him and he could see we where hitting with the people in front of us. He said the guys behind us play in 3 hours not our fault they were busy at the time we were playing. Apologized again in club house when finished. The guys in front of us were in the bar and came over when they heard us and said we played in 3 1/2 hours he did not know what the problem was. Overall coarse was pretty good. Not sure I’ll go back because of some people on the coarse. Greens were nice and fast. Fairways ok for this time of year. Rough hard to find balls in.

Great natural layout. Lots of elevation changes, significant elevation changes. Gorgeous scenery bordering river, not creek. New carts with chargers. Great pace of play, kind staff, well maintained greens and bunkers. Tees for all skill sets.

I was pleasantly surprised today and how much better the greens were! The fairways could have used a cut but they were not bad either. Just a great experience today at a course I truly love.

Love this course. Challenging but fair. Has flat sections and also some big hills for variety. Bunkers are in good shape and strategically placed, not excessive and random (I’m looking at you, Vinaterra). I would play here more often but for the location... my golf buds are from south side and this is above Ashland. I like to say you go through h e double toothpicks to get here — literally my route goes through state rt. 666. But holes # 3.4 and 5 remind me of almost heaven, WV. In some places the ground is unusually hard for a riverside course, but mostly the conditions were very good. Greens were in good shape. If they had a teleportation device i would probably be a member here.

I like this course! I’ve played it 10+ times, my 11 year old Son and I enjoy taking lessons from the pro, the pace of play has never been an issue for me, it’s a nice peaceful environment, the cost is reasonable (Golfnow deals are great) and the course itself has always been very well maintained.

Great day of golf. The greens are in great shape. Bunkers maintained. A lot of ups and downs. Narrow fairways, but not too difficult for beginners. Highly recommended!

Found the elevation changes and blind holes a definite challenge. Very large greens so 2-putt is not a given. wish course had easier markers to find for distances to green. Would definitely play again.

Nice layout. Some big elevation changes, unusual for this area. Nice stretch of holes along the South Anna River. Greens had some spotty areas, since severe drought in the area recently; but putts rolled well. Fairways and rough were a little inconsistent, not great quality; but very playable, especially for the price. Will be a part of our regular rotation when golfing in this area.

Not sure if they are doing some upgrades but there is zero signage at any hole and only saw one ball wash in 18 holes. Like I said may be temporary but would think they would leave existing ones until new arrives. Lastly, you don’t go back by clubhouse after 9 so make sure you bring a snack and plenty of beverages.

Great course, too many hills though. Finding your ball is a challenge, the rough is like hay and you’ll loose plenty of balls trying to keep up with the pace of play. The good about this course is you get it to yourself on the weekdays. Not a lot of traffic on the course and takes about 2 hours to play alone

I loved the elevation challenge this course offered. The greens were in good condition considering the heat in recent weeks. If you can’t enjoy this course regardless of score, your not a true golf fan

Nothing special other than hreater than normal elevation changes. Tee boxes and fairways in very good shape. Never found a bunker but they look to be well kept. Greens were hit and miss; lots of ball marks not repaired, many holes still not filled in from recent aeration.

Almost 5 hours to play. Greens had just been aerated. The rough is long and thick, good luck even finding your ball.
