Great time!
We have a foursome that plays here quite often. The other 3 bomb off the tee so they play back. I am a broken down 64 year old with multiple knee surgeries and back problems . I no longer smoke the ball down the fairway. I now play the White/Golds just to keep up with those guys. I can’t recommend enough that players take an accurate evaluation of your game,( leaving the testosterone and pride out of it), and play the correct tees. You will have a more enjoyable experience AND pace of play will improve for everyone on the course. We love to walk the course. I prefer the Oaks course myself. Both courses are challenging enough for a mid to high handicapper. Always have a great time here. Only real complaint,( personnel are very friendly), is the cost of a cart. Again, we prefer to walk but for everyone driving a cart, a little steep. See you again soon
Winter golf
Course was in very good condition for this time of year. Oaks course is definitely worth the price of admission with the beautiful holes landscape.
Golfer....
Had a good time playing, the weather was very cold , played along...the course was in great shape..had problems with my golf cart. Will be back to play track again....
Twin Lakes Oaks Course
Beautiful course! Long and challenging. Pace of play was great. Course was in good shape. Really enjoyed this day.
Great Layout, Fair Conditions at Oaks
Fun layout in park-like setting, although you can hear passing car traffic on a number of holes. Course conditions were disappointing, with big weeds and brown spots everywhere and ball marks on greens. Probably not worth full price for a public course in these conditions. Slow groups in front resulted in 4 1/2 hour round on a weekday afternoon. Pleasant staff all-around. Check-in person had my Hot Deal tee time but did not see pre-paid status, but after I showed her my confirmation, did not charge me.
Nice Courses all around
Played Oaks course at 1:45 to avoid clod weather in the morning, place could've been a little better, but not too bad. Greens and fairways were in good condition. Rough is normal to be tough to get the ball out. Tee boxes had a lot of divots, but you can play around them.
Twin Oaks - Oaks
Course was in good shape. Greens were in good condition. Fairways and bunkers were taken care of.
It Didn’t Disappoint
After playing the Lakes course the day prior, I had to checkout the Oaks. It was definitely a different feel than the Lakes but fair. Course was in great condition. As I mentioned in my Lakes review, the rough is on the longer side. However, I don’t mind since it adds an additional challenge to the course. Pace of play would improve by shortening it up a bit though. On that topic, I gave pace of play 3-stars. It was slow on the front 9 (no fault of the course marshals). A twosome in front of me seemed like they were competing for the FedEx cup or something, taking 5-6 practice swings before every shot then hitting it 25 yds….very frustrating. They only played 9 so pace drastically improved afterwards.
On a better note, the staff was great. The starter got me out early as I was playing as a single. The course marshals checked on me multiple times to make sure I was having a good experience in lieu of the groups in front. The course layout was great with some challenging holes. Precision is key if you are a longer hitter like myself. Although, the course isn’t as tight as many warned me about. Overall, a great pair of courses. I will definitely be back.
