Nice day
The surprise 80 degree brought out many players but the pace of play was steady. Greens are in excellent shape and fairways were nicely cut. The only negative are the cart paths that are getting worse every time we play. Hope they can be improved.
Friendly fairways
Wide open fairways with minimal hazards. Well kept with great views. Would definitely play golf there again.
We travel from the Cumberland Md. area to play here and the North Course often during the Winter months.
We always get welcomed and treated very well. For winter time the course is in much better shape than most other courses. We enjoy playing here and plan on continuing to do so,
Great day on the course
Super staff. Course was great. Pace of play was flowing and constant. Just an awesome day to enjoy a round of golf!
Golfing in February
Weather was fantastic, golf course was full, greens needed cut. Great round of golf...recommend this course to any golfer.
Great day to play
Beautiful day. Great pace of play. A few wet spots from previous rain. Greens played well.
Another great day at Bowling Green Golf South Course
Beautiful car thermometer said 82 degrees on 02/20/18, unbelievable. But as usual the staff was very cordial, and friendly we arrived early, but were told no problem they got us off early. The course was in good shape considering the recent rains and snow. Just a few wet spots. Everyone had a great time.
Another great day with friends at Bowling Green.
As always the weather is warmer near Front Royal and Bowling Green golf courses, than it is where we live around Cumberland Md.. So off we go on those winter days to Bowling Green, it is never hard for me to find 3 other friends to join me on the trip. A lot of times there is 2 or 3 4somes. We always get treated well and have a great day. Then it is off to the Golden Corral for dinner. We love the courses there at Bowling Green, the employees treat us well and all the golfers there are always friendly, making for great outings.
Winter Break
The temperature hit 50 degrees and no wind making it a perfect day for a mid winter round. Some fairways mostly shaded were still covered with ice but all the greens were great. Who can ever complain when you can play golf on January 26 in Virginia? Loved it.
Great day to golf!
Pace of play was great. A little mud in places due to previous day of rain, but not in any crucial areas. Staff was friendly. Totally enjoy this course!
Taking a chance
When the weather forecast was 50 degrees and no wind, we decided to sneak in a round on Friday. We usually don't play golf in January but it was great considering that in some areas the fairways were frozen solid. On a few tee boxes that were shaded, we couldn't get a tee in ground so we put the drivers away. But it was great just being out there. Looking forward to many more rounds when the weather improves.
Great value
Nice course to play! One of my favorite places to go for an enjoyable game!
Nice Golf Outing
The course was in good shape except for most of the traps (wet and packed down). Greens were excellent. Selection of food/beverage in the clubhouse is limited but acceptable for a small facility. Overall, I am looking forward to coming back. Great deal for the money!
Great for Seniors
Short course with some challenging greens Generous fairways
Fall is here
The weather has cooled off and the day was perfect with blue skies highlighting the fairways as some of the trees took on fall foliage. The rough that was extremely deep the week before had been cut to a reasonable height and the traps were properly raked. The greens as always were in excellent condition. Hoping to enjoy fall golf again soon.
Great course for the money ‼️
The course was in fantastic shape from Teebox to green.
