One of Two of My Favorite Courses
Actually played the North Course at Bowling Green. I checked tee times for the North Course before logging in to GolfNow and upon logging in to my GolfNow account, I did not realize I was presented tee times and paid for tee times at the South Course. Course is in awesome shape for this time of the year. Although a bit chilly and somewhat windy, quite a few golfers were on the course. However, pace of play was fantastic. Never waited on the twosome ahead of us and never held up the foursome behind us.
I like to play there .
I do recommend my friends to play there, and they really like it. I drive all the way there from Woodbridge to play there.
Good experience...
I play here a lot but at times the greens are so marked up by the players who simply don't fix ball marks.
This obviously causes putts to be a 50/50 they will roll true.
Value for the $ is good but have to take the bad with the good.
Staff is ALWAYS very friendly.
Thank you for your review! We're always happy to hear that our staff is doing a great job in the eyes of our golfers, and we will keep a closer eye on the greens!
Not bad but....
Very MINOR issue on the day I played. There was a wedding on the course during the tee time I booked. I was told that it would be clear to play about 8 minutes after my scheduled time which was no big deal. Because of pictures (and weddings always run late) it was actually about 40 minutes delayed. Still, not an issue since I had time. However, the driving range was closed and I could not warm up. Also, since there was a back log of tee times, I feel that they rushed the groups out a bit and I always had someone playing right behind me. (Played the whole 18 in 2 1/2 hours!) Also, they should have blocked the tee times out so you could have started at your selected time. Again, wouldn't keep me from playing there again or recommending it to my friends. VERY MINOR ISSUE!
Hi Mark,
We're sorry that the course timing didn't live up to your expectations when you came to play and appreciate your unwavering loyalty! Thank you for your review!
Sincerely,
Bowling Green CC Management
Fun course
The course is not too long but the fairways are narrow and there are lots of elevation changes that make it fun and challenging. The greens were in beautiful shape and would hold approach shots though they were a little slow. Overall a great value and worth the hour drive from The DC area b
Thanks for your feedback, marcinpau! We're glad you enjoyed the challenge and greens conditions!
Nice course
Condition for this time of year are excellent as it has been very hot and dry
bolling green south
In all we had a great round the one thing thatwas not good was the check inn the person on the desk was very rud .we had one extra person with us and rthis seam to upset the desk clerk .he kept saing that we had to pay the going rate for the third person and as i did not book for three no deals wound be offered this just seam a little upsetting .he kept saing that if we had booked thru them we could get a better rate .we paid the standerd rate and had a good game .Course was in great shape .it was very hot this day and we will be back .thanks
Vacation Fun
Played with my wife. Nice course, a little hilly for her but I loved it
south course
half the holes you have decide to be aggressive or play the smart shot...nice lay out...no water very few sand traps..can go low very easy here and in the same breath you can obtain high numbers if you don't put the ball where it needs to be
Great Day
I have played the course in the past and the course today was in good condition. The fairways and greens were well maintained along with the other areas. The course is not hard but gives you a great workout.
Great day for golf
68 degrees in Feb. Course extremely business. Could not believe how fast we played with so many golfers on course. Played in 4 hrs. Course was little wet in places but for this time of yr. with weather we've had, it was in very good condition
Great condition
The course was in great condition, especially for the time of year.
Great Value
Played the course for a "Hot Deal" of $10 plus fees. Was well worth it even at twice the price. Course was in good shape for December and staff was friendly.
greens
the golfers who play here regularly need to learn to fix their ball marks on the greens. Very good value for the buck
Mountain golf
Beautiful back drop of the blue ridge mountains. Course is fun to play. Challenging for all skill levels. Bunkers were washed out from previous rain storms and need repair. Staff is friendly and very accommodating . Great course for the value.
Best the course has ever been!
The overall course is in excellent condition. They just aerated the greens and had some issues with one of their machines that caused some damage on one of the tee boxes.
I highly recommend this course.
I played Bowling Green North and it was also in excellent condition.
Simple course, great value.
Pretty straight forward, well maintained, often available cheap. I am a big fan of this course. It really is nothing special, but they get it right, and the price is usually quite low.
good golf at the Bgreen
course was in great shape had a great time till he rains came will be back
Nice Value
Great place to play and good value for the money.
Great course to take junior players.
I love the place
Some people say its a very easy course, I guess their just better at the game than me.What keeps me coming back to BGCC is the staff is very friendly and always make me feel at home. There are some courses in the area that act like you owe THEM something, not these guys, they are very easy going. The rates are also very reasonable.
