Herndon is a pretty solid course for a lower price than anywhere else in the area. I’d highly recommend it.

Herndon with some rain
While I always enjoy this course, the rain at times today (6/7/22) brought out a deficiency. No back rain flaps on carts! Had to use my towels as best I could to keep bag and clubs from getting soaked. Had an insert for an umbrella but that was too small for my golf umbrella.

Great conditions after rainy couple of days
The course was in great condition considering the amount of play and the wet weather over the previous few days. The greens were very soft and receptive. The fairways rolled very well.

Pace of Play is atrocious
Over 2.5 hours to play 7 holes! Pace of play is ridiculous that we left after 7 holes because we could not bare waiting longer than it took to play the hole. . There is no ranger on the course moving people along. Tons of walkers mixed in with golfers who ride makes for a long and painful day. This was my first and last time here.

Great condition/ rough is tough
The course was in really good condition and we had a great time playing here. The greens were beautiful but a little slow in the early morning from moisture. Stay out of the rough if you can! It is hard to find your ball until you are right on top of it. Accuracy is rewarded on this fairly short course.
