Lakes at Windy Hill Golf Course

Since this course is shorter than most and in good shape, having a lower score is possible and that makes my golf buddies very happy. It's a fun course to play.

I started playing golf on this course several years ago. Location and price were reasonable and most golfers here are beginners to intermediate players. The course conditions over the years have varied from poor to adequate. Most seasoned golfers would find this course too short and conditions to be sub par to what they are accustomed to. I venture back here once or twice a year to play it for the memories. The greens on this occasion were the best I can remember though a little slow for my preference.

The Windy Hill Lakes Course is a great value play. It isn't a country club atmosphere, nor is it priced as such. The best feature - my dollar goes twice as far here, so I can play double the amount of golf over the course of the summer.

The course is fine. Reasonably green, reasonably challenging. A bit short in length, with narrow fairways, this course puts a premium on staying in the fairway. The greens are well kept and very smooth. The shorter holes make you develop your short game as I am often faced with distances from 40 to 60 yards.

The staff and fellow golfers are very, very friendly.

The facilities have everything you might want to use - putting green, chipping area, driving range, well stocked and staffed clubhouse. Plus more lessons packages than I've ever seen before. It's a great learning facility.

Again - the best feature in my mind is the price point. I will play 20 rounds at Windy Hill vice 10 rounds somewhere else, and that sets Windy Hill apart from other local courses.

This is a so so golf course with a lot of issues. It's a great price but it's a cheap course just like the price. If you're on a budget then give it a try, if not then stay away.

We played the par 3 course and this course is great to sharpen up your short game. We found this course to be a great course to warm up on after taking a break from the game for the winter. Also great for kids.

First time playing this course it is a nine hole played twice for 18. The greens are very well kept short course and very hilly. Good course to walk. Very relaxing. Only trouble we had was getting a golf cart that would work... First one died the second didn't have brakes.

OK if you just want to hit around. I played better for the same amount. Range balls were horrible

Course was decent for winter conditions. The only real issue I had was that the staff failed to mention that they sanded the greens so putting was useless.

Challenging par 9. Can complete in 1.5 hours the course is scenic and in fair condition.

I play here with my 6 year old daughter. She likes the scenery and rides along . Decent practice course with only 9 holes. Is In acceptable shape for this time of year.

A rating of poor for this course is 1 star too many. Fairways are fair at best. The greens are dying/dead and an oil leaking green's mower doesn't help...never again!

This was our first outing at this course and we were impressed by the beauty of the rolling hills and upkeep of the fairways which overshadowed the few greens that were under reapair.
As a twosome playing at our own pace we experienced a day of great economical golf on a small course that we will play again.
The course is only 9 holes but well balanced for use of your woods and irons as needed. A very good starter course with a very attentive staff.

For the most part, the course was in good shape. Most of the fairways were beautiful. The greens need a little work. Fun course!

This course is a great value and challenging. the par 3 are good you also have the water hazards that challenging.

Before I booked a tee time I read the course reviews and I was extremely worried. I saw the review about sandy greens, bad fairways etc. but I decided for the price I would take a chance. I was pleasently surprised. They have a great driving range lighted high above a distance treeline that gives a great view. The greens could have been better but were nowhere near as bad as the reviews said, very playable. I am by no means the most experience player but nor was it my first outing and I found the layout very enjoyable. Course is not very long but bending fairways somewhat make up for that. For the money (Under $40.00 on weekend morning) I recommend giving it a try. Course was not busy and the three of us took our time and enjoyed ourselves.

The course was in terrible shape, paid $20 on golf now for 9-holes in the afternoon... I wouldn't even pay $5 to play this course, it was that bad. I've attached a picture of one of the tee boxes (which looks like the greens as well, the greens were a joke)

I haven't played this course in years because in my opinion it's over priced for what it offers. Through GolfNow the price was great and the course was in pretty good shape. Greens are not perfect, but tee boxes and fairways were in good shape.

Staff actually took a moment to chat with me on the fairway. Very friendly people. I'll definitely be back to play this 9 hole course...

That said, I'm going to skip the other 9 hole par 3 course they have, it was the worst course I have ever played. Maintenance is required on both of the courses, but on this one it it's tolerable.

The greens are quickly fading as temp. heats up. The course management should invest in a quality maintenance manager and work at preventing weeds from taking over the course.
