Hollows Golf Club boasts three unique nines that are played in different 18-hole combinations. Conveniently, the greens fees are applicable all day, which gives you the opportunity to try out all three. The nines: Cottage, Lake, and Road, are varied enough to appeal to a wide range of skill levels. The Lake/Cottage combination features the most water of the three golf courses. The Lake nine wraps around a massive lake, the centerpiece of the 27-hole course. There are also a few small ponds that come into play on the front nine. The Cottage nine only has water on the third hole but this tough par 3 leaves a lasting impression. It is the Cottage's signature hole that not only features water but also an 8-foot deep bunker on the left.

Great course for value

This course is a great course to challenge your game, for a great price. The greens were in great shape. The Fairways were easy to hit off. Even the rough was challenging.

And to top it off, you can not beat the price of this course normally, but with Golfnow.com, it is even better

Well manicured Beginers/Practice Course

Nice Beginers/Practice Course. If you are beginning or just hitting the links for the first time of the year, this is a nice place to start. Open layout and nicely manicured greens. The Pro Shop Attendant seemed to not believe that I paid through GolfNow and scrutinized my documentation. Turnoff, but once out on the course the Starter/Marshall was welcoming. The maintenance guys seemed to not adhere to golf etiquette either. We had to wait 5 minutes as one guy finished mowing the fairway.

Overall... I love playing golf, so these little nuisances didn't ruin the round.

Always a good time!

I have been playing golf for about two years. I have played at the local courses. Within a 50 miles radius of Ruther Glen Va there is only one course consistently worth the money. The Hollows staff is genuinely friendly. The course staff also minds and movement so not to disturb course play. The proshop staff always make sure you know about deals they are offering and are very open to work with you if you are a few minutes early or behind. The restaurant staff is great. There are many options for golf in the area and the Hollows is the most consistently enjoyable experience around.

This course is set up as two nine hole courses back to back.

This is not a course I would likely play again. It is not a difficult course to play but given the distance I have to drive to reach this course, it is not worth the extra cost to me to paly it.
