Very friendly staff. Only able to get 9 holes in before the weather hit. The front 9 was in good shape but can’t comment on the back nine

Awesome day!!
Maybe it was because it was the 1st day of football. But the course was empty empty and we played 27 holes at our leisure. Conditions were great and we got to play the 3rd hole as a par five.
The staff was awesome.

Great day on the links
Friendly staff fast pace rounds good value. Grounds being repaired and aerated but didn’t interfere with our game. Can’t wait to come back and play. Weather cooperated was a great day of golf.

It's about the basics!
This is not the first time playing Mill Quarter so I have a basic expectation of what I should get when I play there. For me it is about the basics; keep the greens nice, and mow the fairways.
The fairways were in pretty good condition, the rough was good as well. The greens were in terrible shape. They had been aerated recently and they were covered in sand. The greens negatively impacted the round and the day overall. It would be nice to know of these conditions before I pay to play.

Great Fun course for the money
Only knock against the course is the greens were aerated for the fall. But you get to play everyone’s favorite game: PLINKO!!!

Aerated greens unplayable
Either golf now or the course should have posted recent aerateing of greens. I have played many times after this type of maintenance but these greens were the worst. Wait a few weeks before you play here.

Greens are rough, give it a few weeks
Recent aeration was prob needed but greens are pretty bumpy. We used a 2 putt max rule, otherwise you’ll be frustrated

Worth the drive from Richmond
Have played this course about once a year when visiting. Fairways and rough are always in good condition. Greens are well manicured but slow. Memorable holes and a nice layout. Great value.

Wet (due to rain) and wide open
Friendly course layout. Not punishing on mishits. Tee boxes needed to be cut big time, but rest of the course was in fair shape considering the week+ of rain.

Great Day and Great Greens
Went out the day after a pretty heavy rain. Course was cart path only for the first 8-9 holes (we had an 8:36 tee time) greens were in great shape. Bunkers were pretty wrecked from the rain but not impossible to play out of.
This is a great course for the money and would come back again for sure.

Average
Totally decent, but nothing to write home about. Greens slow and have very subtle breaks. Tee boxes not level and with bare spots. Fairway/rough, average. Bunkers are a bit all over the map.

Played early.(716am tee time) Nobody was in front of us and we set our own pace. Course was in great shape. Greens were soft. Played a round with 3 others in about 3.5 hours. The weather cooperated and was just an overall perfect day for golf. For the price and play it was well worth it and will be back.

greens are way too slow
I have golf numerous times in the past and have been greatly discouraged with the speed of the greens. Every time I have golfed at Mill Quarter the green speed is always the same-SLOW. I golfed there today because a long time friend of mine had not golfed there since the massive player friendly renovation. I warned him about the green speed but for the money he still wanted to take a chance. I, myself, have no intentions of golfing any more unless the green speeds are quickened. The rest of the golf course was in excellent playing condition.
