Great course…
Had a blast playing today. The golf girl was always around when we needed a beer or snack. Greens were a little slow but overall it was a beautiful well mai Ted golf course.
Lack of recent rainfall shows on the fairways. Greens were very good and fast.

Good For the Price
Mill Quarter is in good shape for the price point. Been a few years since I had played out there but it was a good decision. Outside of the bunkers and some low spots being wet, the course was in good shape. Green well maintained and fairways were in as good of shape as possible.

Friendliest course I have been, but the grounds were extremely wet and muddy.

Very muddy in places
This is the 2nd time I've played this course and have yet to play all 18 holes in the same day. Came out in the fall and had to play the front nine twice, back nine was closed and way too much sand on the greens. Today, I had to play the back nine twice, front nine was closed for repair. It was cart path only, for good reason. Several fairways were very wet and I've got extremely muddy shoes and pants to prove it. Greens were extremely firm and balls hitting green bounced without leaving any ball mark. Putts were very slow. Every putt whether uphill or downhill had to be hit firm. I wish there would be special notes in golf now when selecting a course to play to say if cart path only or I'd a complete nine holes is closed or not. I hope that one of the future times I travel from Atlanta to Ricmond and play this course again that all 18 holes are open, dry and lush fairways, fast greens and no sanding or aeration. One good thing is that the on course Marshall's were very helpful and friendly.

Good value, decent condition
Mill Quarter is a sleepy, old-school course. It’s not staffed to be maintained like the world's fanciest course. It’s a good price and a good time. The track was very wet, with some fairway portions muddy and sand traps that were unplayable in some cases. You get what you pay for - the good and the bad.

Mill Quarter
Good course. We have enjoyed this one over the years, just need Mother Nature to allow more sand in some of the traps instead of mud.

Wow.. Why did we wait 25 years?
Having moved to RVA in the 90's, we've played nearly every public and most privates nearby. Today we shot 89 & 93 from 6,943 at Mill Quarter and Loved It!
Ault/Clark Designs always created playable layouts and the land chosen for this course is some of the quietest & prettiest in Central VA.
Recent Bermuda green overseeding yields the nicest, pitchmark-free greens available. Bernard and team were very helpful and accommodating; distinguishingly so! Cheers!

Mill Quarter is always fun to play
Greens were great. Very green, and as they should be in Nov. they were slow. Love the seclusion of MQ. Great bargain for what they offer and a pleasant drive,
