Great Course, High Rates
I love playing Hobbs Hole, I've played here for years. The course was in great shape, the greens were super fast. My only complaint is how much they've raised their prices. It feels like they've at least doubled their prices maybe more. I understand prices have increased but they are on the level with Northern Virginia prices now and even another course in their county that is a much more difficult course with the same kind of greens. I played well but whereas I use to play there at least twice a month, I can only afford to play there once every 1-2 months. That saddens me because I really love HH.
Hobbs Hole on a Sunday
Course was in really good shape. Greens are fantastic. Saw a couple fivesome’s out there. Peace of play was just OK for a Sunday. Staff was friendly as usual.
Great Expectations
Overall excellent EXCEPT group in front of us yesterday, presumably 10:34 tee time fell 4 holes behind...5hr round is unacceptable and NO effort by proshop to correct.
Great course... five somes are wrong
So started on first hole and had a 5 some and a foursome directly in front of me. Group of 2 and another solo joined up with me and the front was incredibly slow truly need a starter and a marshal on this course as it is a true gem. Beautiful course great layout. Will return.
Outstanding
Very impressed with the fairways and sand traps. Much better than some of the most expensive courses.
Great course
Despite all the rain that has fallen in the past two weeks, the course was in excellent shape. Fairways and greens were pristine.
Highly recommend this course.
A hidden gem
2nd time playing here. Looking forward to returning. It’s a fair layout, even for a less experienced player like me. Nice onsite restaurant, enjoyed a great breakfast before my round.
Nice Layout
Enjoyed my first round at Hob’s Hole. Overall, the course was in good condition with the exception of a few tee boxes. Enjoyed a great breakfast sandwich at the onsite restaurant. Looking forward to returning to okay the course again soon. Would definitely recommend for others to play there.
