The Cedars on Salmon Creek

Premium price off of reputation not current status or conditions. Worse than a cow pasture that I played in Arizona that they were just making into a golf course. Fairways were very bad with little grass or done in some, but not as bad as some of the greens. Had to move ball several times to patches of weeds so we weren't hitting off of rocks. Greens were full of holes with very few that actually were completely grass. VERY POOR. Not worth $10 let alone $50

The fairways were so bad we had to move the ball around to keep from constantly hitting off the dirt. You could barely get the tees into the ground in the tee boxes. The greens were dry, cracked and practically impossible to putt. The bunkers were full of weeds and not much sand. The clover and weeds in the fairways were so thick it appeared there had been no grounds maintenance for some time. It will take years for this course to recover, if it ever does. We stopped at the turn to use the bathrooms and it was so disgusting I wanted to leave at this point. Trash bins overflowing, filthy sinks, toilets and floors, stall doors with broken latches, it was horrible! We finished the round, but it was not enjoyable. The rates for this course are way over priced. We will not be returning again.

Every tee box and every green has damage. It’s as if there is nothing being done except mowing. Not worth the $40, not even half. Won’t ever be back.

There are several greens that are unplayable and fairways are not maintained. Nothing is maintained. Waste of money to play.

Who ever is running this golf course needs to be fired ASAP. It's a total mess weeds all over , burned out fairways and greens. Needs help!!!!!!!!!!

The greens were very inconsistent, frequently being completely dead and so dry the ground had cracks in it. The fairways had lots of daisy's and crab grass and we're inconsistent as well. The rough, where I frequently am being a new golfer, were very overgrown and nearly impossible to find any balls I lost. Instead I found other peoples who obviously ran into the same issue. Take one leave, one deal I guess. Being a new player this course made it very hard for me to try to analyze and improve my game as nothing was consistent. I assumed a course that cost $40 for a Monday morning would be nice. I won't play it again. Unfortunately I didn't take photos because I didn't know I could upload them.

This course has so much potential to be a great track. The problem is absolutely no maintenance. The fairways are either sand and rock, or a cow pasture with no in between, which wouldn’t be a problem if they didn’t charge the same amount as courses held to much higher standards. Total waste of money and a slap in the face to customers. The land the course is on would be an awesome back drop if the maintenance was up to par, hopefully something changes. Was once a great spot to play, now not so much.

I’m not sure why they even have this course open. The greens and dirt and cracking. The fairways are overgrown in most areas and the tee boxes are in very poor shape. This course is not in playing condition. I would love my money back or a rain check to another course. Horrible experience

Keeping it short and sweet. Terrible service to start it off. Course is in absolute terrible condition. Reminds me of a crop field. The bar was not open so no food or drinks. Respectfully parked our cart out of the way and went to grab a bite 4 minutes away. (Wasn’t even gone 15 minutes) While returning our cart was missing along with all our belongings. Refused to give us a refund or our cart back. Will not ever return to this dump again.

This course was in the poorest of conditions I have ever seen a course. More like playing in a cow pasture. I will not be back until conditions improve. I felt Ike they should have paid us to play it. Definitely not worth what they are charging.

The condition of the course is disappointing, especially the tee boxes and the bumpy greens. One of our threesome is a low handicap golfer and I'm pretty sure he won't play there again. However the other player and myself are high handicappers just getting back in the game and we like Cedars for the low pressure and reasonable fees. Plus the wetlands scenery is nice - locals walk the course just for that.. Not for the player serious about their score.

They are signs of course improvements. It’s not as groomed as in previous years. Nice to see 14th hole open.

Good layout and setting. Needs a lot of maintenance. My guess is covid and ice storm has had a tremendous impact on the course.

Called and made a 7:40 am tee time. We arrive at 7:15. Nobody there. A sign saying closed due to inclement weather. It was sunny and 68 degrees. No heads up that they were closed. No email or phone call. Wasted a drive up there from Oregon City.

We will never be back again.

Still not great but getting better. This course has do much potential. I hope they keep working on it and if they do will be playing it more. I live in the community and would love it if they would open the restaurant and bar back up. I know several people in the community that would frequent it.
