Going down hill fast
This course was a great one 5 years ago but the owners are only interested in selling off part of the property and not maintaining the course at all. They may as well sell all the property and close it down now because as a golf course it's not worth playing.
Stay away
I’ve been playing golf for over 50 years this is by far the worst condition golf course I have ever played. I wouldn’t play this course again even if it was free.
Worst golf course in PNW
Every word of the bad reviews for this course are spot on accurate. As someone who has played this course over 100 times since 1993, I’ve seen it through its up and downs and for many of those years at least through about 2015 it seemed to be gradually improving. I’ve even booked a small tournament here back in the late 90s. Unfortunately those seemed to have been the glory days.
Today, the course is a complete waste of money - not worth more than $5 a round. The $35 for 17 holes, when the proshop doesn’t bother to tell you hole 14 is completely closed - is absurd.
From garbage on Teeboxes to rocky dry cracked tee boxes, fairways and greens - it’s truly a maintenance nightmare.
The owners need to get their act together soon and poor some much needed money into maintenance or all the golfers will be give up on this once majestic course.
Don’t bother spending a dime here if you’re at all serious about golf as to you’ll be horribly disappointed. If you want a place to practice then perhaps you can consider it worth a couple bucks to try to tune your game, but keeping score is a joke given the conditions of the greens especially.
Needs work
The greens are in poor condition. Overall could be a great course, but the owners need to invest in their property. Wouldn't hurt to reopen the restaurant, and fix up the club house.
Poorly Maintained
I am writing this review because the course website mentions “lush fairways exceeded only by the well maintained greens.” Neither statement is true. Some of the fairways are in good shape, but many are like pastures and the greens have many dead patches. The tee boxes are poorly maintained. I played this course 6 or 8 years ago and it was in much better shape.
The price is reasonable, the staff is very friendly and helpful, I hate to be critical but the course needs better grounds keeping. I will probably not play here again until I am reassured that the course is in better shape.
HORRIBLE CONDITION
Sad place. Used to be a good course in a nice setting now it is basically "opened" for business but abandoned to the wild. All the greens are dead or diseased or shaggy. The ball doesnt roll it bumps and then it might stop completely in a divot. Yes the greens have divots. You will want your money back. Dont waste it here. I'm not sure I would play here for free if I lived next to it. Shameful neglect.
Worst shape I've ever seen a course in. they will not be able to attract any golfers if significant changes (investment) is made. Tremendous potential if taken care of.
Lots of water and I hills- great variety and challenging fairways
Not good, greens were the worst I've ever seen and I've played golf for over 50 years.
Cedar Golf
Challenging course with water features and rolling terrain. After fall there was a lot of standing rain and the greens were sparse. If you are up for the challenge and a good time golf it! It was a great time!
I expected better
With a course being surrounded by upscale new housing developments. One would think they would want to maintain the course in good shape. Sadly this is not the case at cedars. The greens are in poor condition, overgrown and bare patches everywhere best of both worlds lol. Most fairways feel like your walking on a swamp. One of the holes was closed, they don’t tell you that when booking. I played here a few years back and the place was pretty decent. The course has potential. It’s a shame the owners are letting it go waste
Nobody Home
Arrived nobody at pro shop. Not a solitary human working the course. It didn’t look as if the greens had been mown in a couple of months. It was a muddy unkempt mess. The course has much potential, unfortunately at this time it is left untapped.
Great day challenging course
Had a great time, course plays well good and challenging greens could use a little love. Excellent staff. Great service.
Greens are dead
I have played the cedars in the past and it was a tad swampy but a pretty solid course. New management has allowed greens to die off on 16 holes .
Liar. Why post a phony review? The truth is the greens are dead and one of the holes isnt even open.
