Eagles Pride Golf Course - Blue/Green

About
Eagles Pride Golf Course boasts a reputation as one of the best courses in western Washington. Located in the shadow of Mount Rainier, the course is less than 10 miles from both Lacey and Hawks Prairie as well as just a short drive from JBLM and DuPont. The 27-hole layout consists of three nines: Blue, Green, and Red; that are played in different 18-hole combinations. The Blue/Green Course begins with one of the original nines when the course first opened as Fort Lewis Golf Course in 1940. The Green nine was added in 1979. The classic design of the front nine is slightly less challenging than the back, where you'll find plenty of trees and strategically placed bunkers. Water also comes into play on a few holes.
Previously known as Blue/Green at Fort Lewis Golf Course.

Great Value
Really nice track and well maintained. During busy periods pace can be slow because t-times are close together. Love the holes, layouts and overall all 27 holes are enjoyable. Love that there are zero houses, huge old trees but wide fairways to work with.
What’s with the Ladybugs?
Everything is cool with the course except the swarms of ladybugs this time.
There were so many that they messed with the play. At one time I’d were 50 in the cart and also crawling over you when trying to play…
It was really annoying at times.
Exceptional Value
Great condition, price is amazing for what you get. Hard to find a better course at this price point.Fun layout and really good greens.
Not bad for the 1st wet round of the fall.
Course is in pretty fair conditions. Couple of spots on a few holes that need some help but overall, not bad. Greens were aerated but still played ok. For the money, definitely a good place to play. By 2 pm, restaurant always seems to not have certain items and is out of something and food is limited
Great course and great food!
Beautiful day for golf. We got to the course early and ate in the restaurant. The food was delicious and the only person working was friendly and a great cook. The only gripes I have (which is nothing) is I should have got my strawberry daiquiri while I was in the restaurant since it wasn't available on the drink cart and it was very slow on the course. I sort of expect it to be slow on a nice Saturday.
Some good staff.some bad staff. Thank you for the good staff!
Outstanding course
It’s a nice course. Very reasonable rate. The pace of play was good. The maintenance, grounds, fairways, greens were well taken care of & play well. I’ll for sure play it again.
Good Course
We were the first group out so we had no trouble with pace at all. We thought the greens and the course in general were in good shape. Actually better than some Oki courses we have played.
Only issue at the beginning was just the fact I used the GolfNow app which did not offer a Senior price. Most places we go to just adjust the price when we arrive. However we were told even though we qualified for the military and Senior price we could not have it because we used the GolfNow app. That hardly seemed right but we are more interested in having a good time golfing than arguing with people, so we just let it go.
