Eagles Pride Golf Course - Blue/Green
About
Eagles Pride Golf Course boasts a reputation as one of the best courses in western Washington. Located in the shadow of Mount Rainier, the course is less than 10 miles from both Lacey and Hawks Prairie as well as just a short drive from JBLM and DuPont. The 27-hole layout consists of three nines: Blue, Green, and Red; that are played in different 18-hole combinations. The Blue/Green Course begins with one of the original nines when the course first opened as Fort Lewis Golf Course in 1940. The Green nine was added in 1979. The classic design of the front nine is slightly less challenging than the back, where you'll find plenty of trees and strategically placed bunkers. Water also comes into play on a few holes.
Previously known as Blue/Green at Fort Lewis Golf Course.

Eagles pride
Overall good experience. Greens were a little soggy but good for this time of year. Speed of play was good.
Great value for a really decent course!
Staff is always friendly here!
All 3 9's are good and unique. Really good shape always, especially this time of year though!
Miss the BBQ place...
Still amazing and I'll be back many times!
Classic NW Course, Care-less Golfers
So much potential here... 27 holes, good practice area, affordable rates. Sad to see it go downhill over the last decade. Presume EPGC has limited resources for course maintenance, but a bigger issue is golfers who don't fill divots and repair ball marks on greens. Inexcusable.
Long and challenging
Temp started about 88 and finished mid 90’s. the red to blue course in 4 and a half hours with a foursome. The course is long and challenging. Very fun day, the only negative would be a hot dog at the turn cost $12 just the dog.
Challenging Course ina Beautiful Setting
Course in great shape, not crowded on Thursday. Weather was perfect. Enjoyable day. The hot dog stand at the turn was a real treat!
Maybe I came on a bad day…
It was my wife and I first year wedding anniversary, And to celebrate, we wanted to play a little bit of golf. I booked our tee time online through the GolfNow app and that was a pretty smooth process.
But the smoothness ends there…
We showed up and got checked in, and went to hole one of the red course. We were teeing off when the starter stopped us and said we had to switch courses cause a tree was on fire.
I get there’s not much they can do about that so I don’t hold that against us them.
So we switched over to the other course, and the pace of play was very slow. I realize this was probably because quite a few groups had to switch over because of the fire.
But we were on hole three when the marshal stopped us and asked for our receipt. He checked it and first acted like we were trynna cheat the system because the receipt showed the pro shop didn’t charge us anything. I tried to explain that it’s because we payed through the GolfNow app. He then said well it looks like you only paid for one person.
I’m not sure how he got that. The receipt clearly showed two tee times and two people for a cart.
As I was offering to show my confirmation on my app, he cut me off and said we had to stop playing anyways because my wife didn’t have her own set of clubs. And we had to go and rent some at the pro shop.
My wife is just starting to get interested in golf and she doesn’t have her own set yet. And I do know that some places require everyone to have their own, but I have been to several places that will allow people to share. Nothing stated that she needed to have her own when I booked it, when I checked in at the pro shop, and we were even sharing when the starting marshal watched us tee off on hole #1, and he didn’t even say anything.
So it was just frustrating that we had already had to switch courses, and then stop in the middle of play to go rent clubs.
We got through the first 9 and then went to start at hole10 when the marshal stopped us again and said we had to go back to hole 1 of the red course because it was too backed up.
So after all this it turned out to be a long day. We left frustrated exhausted.
