Eagles Pride Golf Course boasts a reputation as one of the best courses in western Washington. Located in the shadow of Mount Rainier, the course is less than 10 miles from both Lacey and Hawks Prairie as well as just a short drive from JBLM and DuPont. The 27-hole layout consists of three nines: Blue, Green, and Red; that are played in different 18-hole combinations. The Blue/Green Course begins with one of the original nines when the course first opened as Fort Lewis Golf Course in 1940. The Green nine was added in 1979. The classic design of the front nine is slightly less challenging than the back, where you'll find plenty of trees and strategically placed bunkers. Water also comes into play on a few holes.

Previously known as Blue/Green at Fort Lewis Golf Course.

Eagles Pride GC

Course is tough, lots of trees. It's a long walk if you walk it. Course was in great shape and the greens were quick!

I'm lost

A big need to improve signage between holes and delineating Red Green and Blue nines.

Great Shape Relatively Challenging

We played the blue & red courses. It wasn’t crowded on a 70 degree spring day which is rare in the area. Most fairways are narrow, some are wide open, all are bordered by large fir trees. The rough is very tall grass. If you miss the fairway you will likely be hitting your next shot with a tree between you and the green or from very tall grass. We all had fun and we will return again with some course knowledge that will be helpful on our next round. The restaurant has great food, BBQ, hotdogs and sandwiches.

Poor amenities and pro shop, fine course

Pro shop was incredibly rude almost to make me not want to play here again. Course layout was fun and wildlife was nice but no where to fill up your water, no beverage cart, and the course doesn't go back to the clubhouse at the turn so no way to refill drinks until the 14th where there are vending machines.

Fun course, not fun staff or amenities

Played this course for the first time and when I walked into the pro shop I asked if the course was super hilly or not as it might determine if I wanted to walk or ride. The pro shop guy looked at me like I was the idiot and said "it is a golf course." I chose to walk and wish I rode. The issue with saying that is most of the courses I have played in the area are fairly flat with some hills but overall pretty chill to walk. This course almost every hole was going up and down between you and the green with some serious elevation changes. If you have played Auburn you know the front 9 is pretty flat and very chill for walking. Then you get to the back 9 and it is very hilly. This course felt like the back 9. There is also a fair amount of walking between the holes. To add to this there is no beverage options out on the course except for 2 vending machines on the 14th. No bev cart or a place to fill your water bottle. The course was fun and I would play again but next time I will get a cart and bring tons of water.

Well maintained & fun

Not too hard but not a place you want to play if you miss a lot of fairways. Will definitely be back.

Great value and nice course

The course was in pretty good condition for early spring. Pretty course. Greens were a bit slow. Pace of play was excellent. We plan to go back next week.

Golfnow Problem

I did a hot deal with a cart and the staff said that they don’t provide carts through golf now but if I could prove it they would provide a cart. I showed them the with cart and they said it was not highlighted. I showed them the tee times that have walking and with cart and they still didn’t agree. Bad situation for the customer.

Cancelled without my doing

I booked for a Saturday on the Wednesday before. Payed the 12 dollars to hold our spot. Somehow my reservation was canceled without my doing. Luckily I checked our reservation the morning of… The golf course must have canceled it??
