Eagles Pride Golf Course - Green/Red
About
Eagles Pride Golf Course has long been known as one of the best military courses in the country and luckily for golfers, it's open to the public. Originally opened in 1940, the course started as the 18-hole Fort Lewis Golf Course. Another nine was added in 1979 but it wasn’t until the mid-1990s that it became Eagles Pride. The three nines are called the Green, Red, and Blue, and they are played in different 18-hole combinations. The Green/Red Course starts with the newest and most challenging of the three nines. The course will test you with plenty of trees, water hazards, undulating slopes, and even the occasional blind shot. There are some tough holes but players of all skill levels could enjoy any of the nines.
Previously known as Green/Red at Fort Lewis Golf Course.

I was surprised to see how good the course condition was today, knowing its has been wet and cold in the last few days.
It was very playable and I had a nice walk.
I would recommend it to other golfers!
Thx

Beautiful Course
Played the Red and green course in early November and it was beautiful. Course was pretty wet and lots of pine needles on the greens but was beautiful and looks well taken care of. My only gripe was that our group was early for our tee time and they had already given it away saying that we were late. I showed the Ranger our tee time on his paper and showed him we were in fact early, nothing was done and we ended up having to wait and got stuck behind a very slow group.
Score an Eagle
Eagles Pride was a fantastic course to play mid-week. The course was well maintained and the greens were fast. The course wasn't crowded and we had plenty of time to relax and play at our own pace. I would highly recommend this course to anyone in the South Puget Sound area almost anytime of the year. The course drains well and the crew ensures the fairways are cut and clear.
Fun time but took FOREVER
First time playing and definitely enjoyed myself. First home is at a 45 degree sideways and that was just stupid. Took almost 6 hours to play 18 holes, so bring a lunch and expect to make a day out of it.
All-in-all it was fun but only if you can get a deal and have forever to play
Great course
This course is incredible. The layout of the holes are beautiful. It’s challenging and also very fun.
Beautiful Course
Beautiful Course, felt like the course shape was winter already in early fall. Front 9 greens had a ton of sand on them. All the rangers were extremely crabby and not friendly at all. The course itself is challenging but great!
Good Value
Nice day weather wise, but it's been rainy, so wet conditions in places. Sand was hard and packed. Plenty of carts, staff was helpful. Pace of play extremely slow in early afternoon and we waited on every hole. No marshalls. We did tee off on time. It is a fun course to play.
Blue/Green
It is amazing what one day can do for the greens. They.were.still a little sand, but they significantly better than the say before. There is a fair amount of walking between a few of the holes, but a little exercise never hurts, right!
Normally a good course
On this.particular day, the greens on the Blue course had just been sanded so putting was all over the place and on the back nine (green course) there were lots of biting critters which tore up my legs. They are still itching and sore three days later. I very much like the course, but Thursday, 10-1, was tough.
Challenging
Difficult course. Have not yet broken 100 but had fun whenever playing with buddies.
Good value but can be slow
Nice really long course. Starts out Par 5, par 3, par 5 which is unique. Lots of freeway noise and can be VERY slow at times. Overall it's a nice course and a solid value.
