Eagles Pride Golf Course - Red/Blue
About
Located just 20 minutes south of Tacoma, Eagles Pride Golf Course in Fort Lewis is one of the area's best golfing values. Originally opened as the 18-hole Fort Lewis Golf Course in 1940, it soon became known as one of the best military courses in the country but it's also open to the public. Another nine was added to the layout in 1979. The three nines, known as the Red, Blue, and Green, are played in different 18-hole combinations. The Red/Blue Course is the original layout. The classic design is player friendly but at the same time challenging with an abundance of trees lining the fairways and greens as well as tricky elevation changes that make it tough to find a flat lie. Each hole offers plenty of variety.
Previously known as Red/Blue at Fort Lewis Golf Course.

Golfer Reviews
Fan flipping tastic
Excellent course! Got a $15 per person deal carts included and it was far nicer than expected. Beautiful surroundings and the fairways were lower than the rough so even my bad drives rolled back into play! Greens are soft and have a good amount of break. Staff was super friendly. They even offered big spray when we were complaining about mosquitos! What a place!
Good Course
We were the first group out so we had no trouble with pace at all. We thought the greens and the course in general were in good shape. Actually better than some Oki courses we have played.
Only issue at the beginning was just the fact I used the GolfNow app which did not offer a Senior price. Most places we go to just adjust the price when we arrive. However we were told even though we qualified for the military and Senior price we could not have it because we used the GolfNow app. That hardly seemed right but we are more interested in having a good time golfing than arguing with people, so we just let it go.
Great Dayn of Golf
Last played three years ago. Course is in excellent condition. Sand is compact but playable. Greens are well kept and putt true. Lots of course improvements. I didn't see any water stations, so bring plenty of bottled water.
Championship Course
The course is in excellent condition. It plays long, I felt like I was playing a mostly par 5 course. I will definitely play again.
Great day for golf
I booked a 9:26 tee time with a friend. It was going to be hot that day so we were thankful for the cart that came with the deal. Course is long but it played great with decent roll. Rough was in decent condition not overgrown.
Definitely play again
Course is nice but..
The course itself is in beautiful condition. The pace of play is slow and that was the only negative. Those greens are tough, big and undulating but a fun challenge.
