Eagles Pride Golf Course - Red/Blue
About
Located just 20 minutes south of Tacoma, Eagles Pride Golf Course in Fort Lewis is one of the area's best golfing values. Originally opened as the 18-hole Fort Lewis Golf Course in 1940, it soon became known as one of the best military courses in the country but it's also open to the public. Another nine was added to the layout in 1979. The three nines, known as the Red, Blue, and Green, are played in different 18-hole combinations. The Red/Blue Course is the original layout. The classic design is player friendly but at the same time challenging with an abundance of trees lining the fairways and greens as well as tricky elevation changes that make it tough to find a flat lie. Each hole offers plenty of variety.

Fun layout
Love the tighter Fairways and course layout. Always fun with elevation changes as well. Got my first hole in one on the 8th hole on the red course!
Golfnow and or Eagles Pride running a scam. Buyer beware.
I bought a hot deal round, cart included for 4pm yesterday. I arrived at 2:30 and was told they didn't allow carts to go out after 2:20. I'm 70 and had ankle surgery last year. I needed a cart but I walked it anyway because i was there and ready to play. Golfnow and or Eagles Pride are running a scam. Buyer beware.
Rude staff
The rude staff here need some service mentality training and basic manners.
Course plays long
Nice course and you can usually get a Hot Deal. Course is in good shape with nice greens. Plenty of challenging holes. Will play again.
We must know the fact.
After 2:30PM, Eagles pride golf course doesn’t permit the cart rental. But there is no notice in Golfnow App.
Staff
This course could be one of the best around with how difficult and challenging it is. Always well maintained. The extreme downfall is how the staff treats people.
Red and Blue Course
I played my favorite setup, Red to Blue. Course conditions were great from all of the recent rains we’ve had. Putting greens were soft and smooth. Best time to play Eagles Pride is now, early Fall before they change to their winter setup.
Nature Preserve
The course was absolutely beautifully maintained and managed. On the course nature abounds especially with deer. We had deer on our tee boxes and on or near the greens on at least six of the holes. The pace of play was very fast we never butted up against the group in front of us.
Back for more:
A 1970 course, needs some attention, they don’t rake the traps often
Strange course
Odd course lay out, 1970 or 60’s I believe, the course needs some work! Interesting but if you like a 1975 round of golf , this is the place!
Good track
Great course I would most definitely play it again if in the Seattle area again. The hole with the fountain (Red course) was cool.
Great course but
Course is an absolute blast and the staff riding around in carts were very friendly but the staff in the clubhouse are incredibly rude and just a pain to communicate with
