Riverbend Golf Complex
About
The Riverbend Golf Complex sits along the Green River in Kent Valley, Wash. Owned and operated by the City of Kent, the complex offers a championship, 18-hole course and a mini-golf course. The 18-hole course is one of the busiest in the state with more than 65,000 rounds played on it annually. The golf course sprawls across a relatively flat landscape, making it easily walkable. Though it may not be hilly, that doesn't mean it's trouble free. There are more than 50 bunkers strategically placed throughout and three lakes come into play as well. The layout is player friendly, with enough variety to appeal to players of all skill levels.

Wait to long
I had play last time at this course 2years ago.
Still waiting time is to long.
We had a power cart but end finishing time was over 4 hours.
It was to long for at around here.
Fun course!
Fun course for all handicaps and one the favorite places to play. It would be even better if the restrooms on the course were regular toilets with sinks.
Average Course
$14 for green fee and golf cart = great bargain. Average public course but very busy. Water comes into play on several holes, must keep ball in play.
Great shape
The course is in great shape, play was a little slow but not bad at all.
Truly Alright
The pace of play was pretty bad, we had to wait on every hole after the turn. Other than that good mix of long par 5s and pretty easy par 3s. There are a lot of bunkers on the course and it has water in play on the back nine a lot. But on a dry open day this course would be a lot of fun to play
Good value enjoyable golf
A decent price for a fair golf course. Very straightforward layout with a few interesting holes. Greens were in good shape. Not overly challenging so a good choice for ladies, seniors and those at the beginner or intermediate phase of their development in golf.
All except....
Play was very slow for the first four holes, marshal prodded the groups ahead and it was a great pace after that. The exception? The restaurant/club house was closed. Nothing to eat on site was a big disappointment. The course is in great condition, it would be nice if golfers learned to repair their ball marks on the greens though.
Still no food...same old course
The course was in decent shape. Greens were a little fuzzy and inconsistent but very receptive. There are so many trees missing form the original design it seems a little foreign now. I normally stay away from this course due to pace of play but the pace of play was fine because we started at 6:07 AM. Restaurant still not open but we did have a beverage cart show up around the 16th hole.
Decent day on the course
Nice pace of play. Cafe/bar is closed - bring cash for the beer cart - no atm, but they won't take cards. Course was in great condition.
Love this course
Excellent in most ways. Good mix of 3's and 5 pars.
Excellent greens and pace of play.
Windy day at Riverbend
This is a wonderful course. I really enjoy it. It's mostly flat land, but with curves in all the right places and because of that, read my TIPS section. This day it was super windy. I watched the wind dominate several of my shots and two of my putts. This made the course severely challenging and fun. I LOVE a challenge. Shot an 83. My 7th game in 27 years. Looking forward to Allenmore tomorrow Friday. Remember to be WISE on your drives. Look to PLACE them for an advantage to your second shot. Greens were very hard but consistent. Good luck and great golfing! See you after next round. :--)) *cheers*... ciao!
Sunday at Riverbend
We played in 4 hours 45 minutes. Not bad for a Sunday afternoon at Riverbend. Course condition was OK. Greens rolled good. Fairways were full of divots and the sand containers on the cart had grass growing inside. Staff was very friendly. No food service at this time. The restaurant is closed for remodel but should open this summer under new management.
Rainy day
It had rained most of the morning. Got there about 20 minutes before my tee time, was able to go right away. Did not catch other golfers till #8. Back nine was a little slow, but I expected that. Coures is in good shape, as it usually is.
Great challenge from the blue tees
Best walking course in Washington state
Fun in the a.m.
The course was firm and rolled well in the fairways. Layout is a little bland but for the price and condition it was worth it.
My biggest complaint with the course was that the greens were pretty bouncy when hitting your approach shot and they didn't roll as fast as they were firm.
All in all River Bend is a good course with challenges for everyone.
Great
I rate this as an 8 . Would have been a 10 if food and drink was available. Coarse in great shape.
Awesome day
Weather was perfect, joined up with a really nice couple and another single in town from NC. Followed a tournament but still finished in 5 hrs. Great people to golf with and I played well,41-41. No complaints!
2 group wait on every tee box
Good price but way to backed up. Waited for 15 min at every tee box. So slow it took me over 3 hours on the front 9 I quit playing.
Don't expect...
The greens are horrible so don't expect to play on good greens. The course layout is fun and is challenging.
