Riverbend Golf Complex
About
The Riverbend Golf Complex sits along the Green River in Kent Valley, Wash. Owned and operated by the City of Kent, the complex offers a championship, 18-hole course and a mini-golf course. The 18-hole course is one of the busiest in the state with more than 65,000 rounds played on it annually. The golf course sprawls across a relatively flat landscape, making it easily walkable. Though it may not be hilly, that doesn't mean it's trouble free. There are more than 50 bunkers strategically placed throughout and three lakes come into play as well. The layout is player friendly, with enough variety to appeal to players of all skill levels.

The golf outing. Photo submitted by mastergolfer12 on 09/26/2012
Clear your schedule for some fun
Riverbend is a great course for all levels. They have 5 different tee boxes so you've got plenty of choices but people do not tee it forward so they pace of play is SLOW. Also the pre opus restaurant is closed so bring your own food and beer!
River bend golf course
Course was in pretty good shape , I live south of Denver now and used to play here a few years back. Played with my son and a friend who still live here in the area.Any day of golf is ag good day
Beautiful way to spend the day.
the course has dried out and is in great condition. The greens were fast and true. Fairways and rough were in good shape. Takes awhile to get around, but on a beautiful day, with a view of Mt Ranier, not that bad, and a great deal on golf now.
great condition
The course was in great condition and the greens rolled smooth and true. The pace of play was a little slow due to gaps in the playing groups. I didn't see a course marshal or anyone selling beverages on the course. This attention to detail needs to be improved.
okay course
Greens were in bad condition being very unevenly sanded.
We had a good round
Great price through Golfnow, course in good shape, 3.5 hour round, fun
Bunkers have no sand, very hard to get out of.
Started to rain N greens turned to puddles
The course is setup with old back side as the front makes for a fun first nine leaving the best scorng holes for he back nine. Tee boxes were punched and sanded and not very level, fairways were nice and were being mowed the greens would not hold a wedge shot even a 60 degree shot dropping from 150feet. The greens were so firm the greens filled with puddles and were very bumpy, last time we played greens were smooth and putted much better.
Riverbend 18 may 8th 2015
I have been playing this course for years..and this course was always in great shape. However this time. I was very disappointed in the condition of the fairways. Cut way too short was almost like hitting the ball off of a pool table..Someone needs to have a discussion with the management at riverbend..
Riverbend is convenient
Riverbend is a convenient golf course close to freeways and best for average golfers. They need an active marshal on Sundays, as the pace of play was extremely slow and frustrating.
Crowded and slow
Crowded and slow. Have to wait every hole. Spent 5 hours. Fairway condition is fair. Green is fair. Would not my first choice to play again.
RiverBend GC updates some of its holes.
The course was fun but the weather was not. Water on the greens made it difficult to putt; only a few birdies.
Used golfnow.com for a fantastic hot rate. The pro shop staff are first rate. The driving range is cool too.
See it for yourself when the weather cooperates and you won't be disappointed. By the way some of the holes were upgraded.
Good people that work there
PLAY WAS INCREDIBLY SLOW. No marshals to pick it up
A friendly flat course for all levels of play
I enjoyed playing this course for the first time. My rating of the course might have been a bit higher if it wasn't for a few fivesomes allowed on the course. The course was in fairly good condition and was easily walkable.
Nice course
Fairly flat course, easy to walk even with a bad foot. Greens were a little bumpy but other than that course over all is in pretty good shape.
The Course was in good cond. for this time of year!
For March Golf, never plugged a ball, unbelievable!
Good course, good condition
This is still "winter" golf and the course was in very good condition. The greens were a little rough and caused some bouncing when putting, but still good condition. It's nice to play this course when it's not crowded. In the summer, it's shoulder-to-shoulder and lots of waiting and ducking from errant balls. It was a good round on a fun course!
Flat and straight !
Good thing we were the first ones off on a Monday morning because the place was stacked up! Couldn't believe how busy it was for a Monday ! Not sure I could play of had to wait 10 mins between holes . Greens were good and course is straight and flat! Get out early!
Great early season round
Course was better than I remember. Greens were a bit bumpy, but that was more to do with the time of year and the amount of rounds being played during a couple sunny days in the winter. For $27 per player + a cart, I have no complaints.
Good condition for early Spring
With a week of dry weather this course has dried out well. Greens are still somewhat soft and bumpy but had decent speed. The putting green was closed and did not look to be very good. Being a GolfNow Hot Deal it was definitely a bargain.
Wet and slow
The course is often slow, but today the front 9 was ridiculous. Don't look for a marshall because they do not exist. We had 5somes in front of us stacked up 3 deep. The course was very wet (understandable for time of year) but the greens were not in good shape either. About half of the bunkers had standing water. Drainage has always been an issue here.
