About
Allenmore Golf Course is located in the heart of Tacoma but thanks to the beautiful setting with Mt. Rainier serving as a backdrop, it feels like it's actually miles from the city. The layout is just over 6,000 yards from the back tees and though it's not particularly long, it offers plenty of variety. It's a course where you'll have to use every club in your bag. Trouble lurks at almost every turn in the form of doglegs, trees, or out-of-bounds. Water hazards also come into play. With uphill, sidehill, and downhill lies, the course is never boring and while there are some challenging holes, there are also birdie opportunities if you play strategically. In addition to the golf course, Allenmore also has a short-iron driving range and a practice facility with chipping and putting greens.

It was a foggy round
Played a good round through some thick fog! Shot well and the course was good! Hate cart path only but it was okay! Can’t wait to play it when i can see and it’s dry! Well worth the $$$$$

It's a little soggy out but it's to be expected it snowed and then it poured for days so but greens are fine

Muni Gem
Traditionally underrated course in the heart of Tacoma, both in terms of prestige and slope rating. Open layout, yet with more than enough obstacles and pitfalls to make the course a challenge. Greens are always fast and true. Water on short par 3's make them legit. Hole #5 one of the most difficult Par 4's in the region. Staff is friendly and engaging. Urban Elk serves outstanding food at a reasonable price. And a well stocked 19th hole for good measure. Great value and a great time.

Great conditions, considering
Went out on a rare dry day, after numerous rainy days. Course was in great shape with very little visible water and minimal sogginess in fairways, unlike some other courses in the greater Seattle area. Greens very nice. Very few people out, surprisingly, Will be back to play soon!

Fall Golf
Had a fun round of golf. Anytime you can golf rain-free here in the fall is good day. Course was in good shape. Greens were fast. Pace of play was good.

Wet golf better than no golf
Rainy, off and on, with monsoon starting on the 18th tee. Course was in great shape, especially considering how wet it has been lately. No standing water, grass in great shape. Glad I came out, despite the sketchy weather forecast.

Losing money
As always enjoyable round at Allenmore, but also as always the restaurant and beverage cart does not run on Monday, pretty sure they could make more money it these 2 things were available

Good pace!
First time in a while I played early. Joined 3 guys while waiting for my group. All of us walkers, played in 3 1/2 hours. We let a single through and never had to wait again.
