About
Allenmore Golf Course is located in the heart of Tacoma but thanks to the beautiful setting with Mt. Rainier serving as a backdrop, it feels like it's actually miles from the city. The layout is just over 6,000 yards from the back tees and though it's not particularly long, it offers plenty of variety. It's a course where you'll have to use every club in your bag. Trouble lurks at almost every turn in the form of doglegs, trees, or out-of-bounds. Water hazards also come into play. With uphill, sidehill, and downhill lies, the course is never boring and while there are some challenging holes, there are also birdie opportunities if you play strategically. In addition to the golf course, Allenmore also has a short-iron driving range and a practice facility with chipping and putting greens.

Let golfers know
It would be very helpful if they told me the greens weren't available. The course sucked
Great experience, will return
Came out to play despite the hazy conditions. Tee boxes, fairways and greens were all in excellent shape. Bunkers looked to be well maintained as well. Whole facility was very well maintained and clean. Fun layout, pace of play excellent, able to play in 3.5 hours. Pro shop staff very friendly and helpful. Will definitely return.

Great City Course
Allenmore is a great trek to play. Trees line most fairways, lots of changes in terrain can be challenging at times. Greens are in great shape and require the right read to sink your putts. Not too difficult for the average golfer, yet challenging enough for the better golfer to make decisions on how to play.

Good Play
This course is a fun and well put together course. No complaints on the course or staff. They need to come up with a way to have food and snacks at the turn. Nice restaurant on property but they do not have take out or any way to get something ordered prior to the back nine.

Way to expensive for a small congested public course
I’ve golfed hear for about five years, because it’s close to home on weekdays after work. Short, tight, congested course. Pretty much no service for beverages or snacks unless you walk up to the restaurant that’s rarely open, but be aware if you do, you may get to the 10th and have two groups there that came out of no where. All these reviews say course conditions are “great” ya after we have had 80 plus degree weather for a month. Good luck finding a ball in the middle of the fairway mush. Very wet course 10months out of the year. I’ve seen groups of 5 regularly and even a couple groups of 6. No Marshall out there to manage pace of play. Range is only 150 yards. Practice putting green is nice. Moral of the story not worth $57 dollars to play much nicer courses that have a lot more to offer in pierce county for less money and better deals. This course thinks very highly of itself.

Narrow Fun
Very much enjoyed this course, it has much more escalation than you would think. Some beautiful back 9 par 3’s especially. The biggest drawback I found is that most of the people who have played there recently don’t know how to repair a ball mark.. the greens were bouncy, and there were holes that I repaired 5 or 6 ball marks and could have done more..

From the clubhouse to the tee box
This is a gem with a great history around the Elks Club. Well taken care of course with plenty of short par-4s to make par. Good elevation changes as well.

Not too long!
Enjoyed the course. It was in great shape. Most holes are straight with a slight bend. Several right to left holes which made it tricky with my fade. I camt wait to go back.

Solid and fun Public Course. Greens were in very good condition. Tight fairways lead to some slower pace of play, but overall a very enjoyable round.
