About
Allenmore Golf Course is located in the heart of Tacoma but thanks to the beautiful setting with Mt. Rainier serving as a backdrop, it feels like it's actually miles from the city. The layout is just over 6,000 yards from the back tees and though it's not particularly long, it offers plenty of variety. It's a course where you'll have to use every club in your bag. Trouble lurks at almost every turn in the form of doglegs, trees, or out-of-bounds. Water hazards also come into play. With uphill, sidehill, and downhill lies, the course is never boring and while there are some challenging holes, there are also birdie opportunities if you play strategically. In addition to the golf course, Allenmore also has a short-iron driving range and a practice facility with chipping and putting greens.

Great to be outside
The course was in great shape. Beautiful day. The front nine was going at a good pace, the back nine was horrible. Not sure if it was the guys 3 ahead of us hitting 3 balls per hole, losing balls and taking too much time looking for balls. A Marshall would have been great.
Great course
I love playing Allenmore. The staff is very friendly, the course is in great shape. We had lunch in the restaurant after our round, the service was great and the food was delicious!!

beautiful course, well kept fairway and excellent greens
Started to play this course this spring thru golfnow.com.with good price . Lovely place with beautiful landscape in center of Tacoma city. . Plan to play here a lot for this season.

Quick play
The starter was friendly, informative and prepared us with all we needed to know about conditions and other players etc. Rather amazing effort on his part. Very quick play...covid issues allowed only 2 per tee...nice. course conditions were better than average.

Nice course
Always in great shape. Fast greens. Friendly staff. Nice bar/restaurant.
Great day for some winter golf
Following up on all of the rain early this year we weren’t sure what shape the course would be in. We were pleasantly surprised that there was only a little water on the course, and the greens were rolling much faster than expected. The staff in the pro shop was great and we had good service in the restaurant for drinks and then lunch after the round. We finished our round in just over 4 hours, and other than teeing off on the first hole we didn’t have to wait for the group in front of us. We will be back!

HOT & COLD
Been playing this course for 40 yrs & managing our DUFFERS TOUR Group for the last 10 years with this course in the weekly "Loop".
A little more spendy than the average NW Publics
Fewer "Specials" than the other local courses
Have had a real problem with food/restaurant for a long time - currently trying new management
Staff finally changed from totally stuffy/unfriendly to pleasant & welcoming.
Course condition mostly always above average except the normal wet fairways in wintertime.
Definitely will keep as a regular on our weekly course tour with: Meadow Park, No. Shore, Ft Lewis, Madrona, High Cedars, Spanaway!
