About
Allenmore Golf Course is located in the heart of Tacoma but thanks to the beautiful setting with Mt. Rainier serving as a backdrop, it feels like it's actually miles from the city. The layout is just over 6,000 yards from the back tees and though it's not particularly long, it offers plenty of variety. It's a course where you'll have to use every club in your bag. Trouble lurks at almost every turn in the form of doglegs, trees, or out-of-bounds. Water hazards also come into play. With uphill, sidehill, and downhill lies, the course is never boring and while there are some challenging holes, there are also birdie opportunities if you play strategically. In addition to the golf course, Allenmore also has a short-iron driving range and a practice facility with chipping and putting greens.

Good day for golf
I booked a Saturday morning round late on Friday night and got a good deal. The course was in decent condition with most of the course fairly dry. The pace of play was slower than what I expected for a 7:12am round as the 3-some in front of us were slow on the greens, but they eventually picked up their pace of play (no groups in front of them), but it took us over 4:15 to complete our round. The beverage cart was out, which has been a rarity of late. Overall a good round.

Quality old course
Not a long course but narrow so it is a good challenge. The greens are what make this course. Small and fairly quick. Overall fun and worthy course to play.

Terrible greens
There’s two types of grass growing on greens which looks like you’re putting on camouflage, bumpy and won’t hold a line

Terrible greens
You would think that the putting greens would be a good representation of what to expect out on the course but they are not also they have two different spices of grass growing so when you are trying to get a read it’s pretty bad I felt like the greens were like camouflage and texture was hard to keep your put on line

Horrible staff, overpriced course
The staff have single handedly ruined this place. What used to be a comfortable experience is no longer. The carts were dirty - mustard was all over the driver seat and back rest. The young man working the pro shop was incredibly rude both during check in and during the round. Play at Allenmore if you don't mind terrible customer service while paying $60 to rent a cart you have to clean…
Quality course at a reasonable price.
First time playing this course. If I lived in the area this would be one of my favorite courses. Greens were in very good shape. It was a beautiful day and I expected it to be more crowded. My front nine was the lowest score I have ever had and on a course I did not know. If I could only do that at home in New York!

Me and my son
Even on a sunny, busy day the pace of play was perfect. The greens are superb. My son had 3 birdies and 7 pars. What a day!!!!

Course was in great condition. Everything looked very green, wasn't damaged. All the greens rolled nicely. Tee Boxes were decent . Pace of play was awesome for Sat.

Great condition
Course is in great shape, greens are rolling nice. One of my go to courses in the Tacoma area! Pace of play wasn’t bad for a Saturday.

Always a good course to play
Very nice course to play. Staff are friendly and helpful at the pro shop. The course os maintained and fairways are good. Pin placement on greens are good and the greens can be tough to read sometime. All in all nice place to play a round.

Good value
Good layout. Greens are awesome. All a little different. Some long holes some short holes for a city muni course pretty good. I played here many times. I'll play here more
