About
Allenmore Golf Course is located in the heart of Tacoma but thanks to the beautiful setting with Mt. Rainier serving as a backdrop, it feels like it's actually miles from the city. The layout is just over 6,000 yards from the back tees and though it's not particularly long, it offers plenty of variety. It's a course where you'll have to use every club in your bag. Trouble lurks at almost every turn in the form of doglegs, trees, or out-of-bounds. Water hazards also come into play. With uphill, sidehill, and downhill lies, the course is never boring and while there are some challenging holes, there are also birdie opportunities if you play strategically. In addition to the golf course, Allenmore also has a short-iron driving range and a practice facility with chipping and putting greens.

The Greens
The greens were too wet and a bit bumpy, but still very playable. Nice course overall.
Nice course
Over priced at this time of year/spring and fall is more reasonably priced.

I love playing this course
Allenmore Golf Course in the heart of Tacoma, WA is a little-known gem, particularly during the summer when the fairways and greens are running faster. It’s easily walkable (I’m 68 years old), but if you prefer a cart, they’re all new this year.
Fairways are tight and tree-lined, shots that drift too far left or right are best played with a pitch back to the fairway.
The staff are friendly and helpful.

Decent Course
Course is in decent condition for the most part. Very narrow back and forth course with a lot of attention needed on greens. Back 9 needs a lot of attention on the greens, it became silly to attempt to put due to the conditions. Price was a tad bit expensive compared to other courses at the price point.

Last time I played Allenmore was over 20 years ago.
Glad I was able to play it again.
What a difference. Very nice clubhouse, restaurant, bar, proshop, and paved cart paths. Definitely upgraded. Course has been cleaned up and not overgrown.

Good value for your money
Allenmore is a very friendly course with just enough challenges to keep even low handicap players on their toes. The green keepers crew does a great job keeping the course in good shape considering how much play it gets. Golfers please do your part in helping maintain the course by fixing your divots in the fairway and pitch marks on the greens, the unwritten rule is by fixing your pitch mark on the green plus one other it will help the greens keeper keep the putting surface in good shape. May the course be with you!

I haven’t play here after the COVID had started.
No snack or drink golf cart anywhere to be found.
Thirsty so bad after I ran out my bottle of Gatorade.
The greens are not great but not too bad. The pace of play really depends the group ahead of you are experienced or not.
