Highlands Golf Course
About
Highlands Golf Course in Tacoma, Wash. is a nine-hole course that can be played in just over an hour. All of the holes are par 3 except for one par 4. It's not your typical nine-hole course, the layout is like a full-size course shrunken down to a par 3 with several challenging elements that will test your short-game skills. The terrain is relatively flat, making it an easy golf course to walk, and it is relatively protected from the winds. The sand traps are sparse but strategically placed, and water hazards come into play occasionally as well. Highlands Golf Course is an ideal layout for beginners to get some short-game practice, but for more advanced players it's an excellent option for a quick round that is more challenging than your average nine-hole layout.

Review
Amazing little par 3 course, some holes feel narrow but an overall amazing course for the price and distance
Needs work
Course still needs some work. Also I hate hitting off mats
nice upgrades!
I haven't played Highlands for a while. New ownership put some bucks into the third and fifth (water) holes. Very very nice work. Look forward to playing it again.
Greens Rock
Loving the upgrades! Still hitting off mats out there but they're nice mats. Greens are pretty good too!
Work in progress
Looking forward to when course gets back into shape. I think once everything is done and with the new additions to club house going to be a great place to enjoy.
Is going to be fantastic
It was perfect for my daughter first time playing. When they get all the new improvements done on the course it will be a great course. Until then conditions are a little tough.
Great for first time golfers
Under a lot of repairs but the future of this place looks great. I took my son for his first golf experience here. He is hooked.
Not worth $20
Course is under renovation. They are not offering a discount to make up for poor tee boxes and fairways. Multiple tee boxes were 95% sand. Hole #5 was closed. Staff did not give any warning about course conditions. Will not be returning to play here.
Under Construction
Course is having some repairs done so it’s still in shambles but I’d you want to work on your short Irons good course for that.
Very poor conditions!! It was like playing in a sand box.
Course layout was fine, but not ready to play on until they finish the irrigation and reseed the fairways
Nice greens
The greens are in great shape. The fairways are bad and the tee boxes are abysmal and mostly missing. What do you expect for $13.50?
