Fun round it bipolar weather...
It rained and poured then stopped then started again...then stopped lol...could never get comfortable today. Friendly staff...fun course. Not that muddy. Good shape for the conditions...wonderful place year round
Couse ranger
Needs firing or trained to speed of play!! You don't tell people to speed up when they are waiting for the group in front!! When there is a player in your groul who drives 300 yards, you have to WAIT!
Replayed from the White tees
I am about a 15 handicap from the white tees, and wanted to experience playing the white tees after playing the white/green tees a couple of weeks ago with friends. Despite the hot weather, the fairways are in really good condition. I was in three bunkers and the sand was not a problem. I really enjoyed the round and look forward to coming back later in the month.

These greens for this price?
Pretty frustrated. It was a Monday so the fact that they didn’t mow greens is not a big surprise and with the impending heat wave, I understand the soft/wet conditions around the greens. What I can’t get over is the amount of pitch marks left behind by previous golfers. I know that the course has limited control over people’s behavior but this is an issue that is bad enough to keep me from Returning anytime soon. It’s one think to play twilight for $20 and deal with the days wear and tear. It’s a whole different issue to pay full price for these conditions. Other than that, course was in its usual, very acceptable condition.

Great conditions
This course is a great value and a challenge at the same time. First cut is tight rough was about 2”. Greens were a little slow probably due to watering but true.
Worth the $$$
Solid municipal course. I played it in early June and it was in very good shape. The greens rolled true, not bumpy. (I will say that the people who play there need to fix their ball marks. Normally I'd think it was a group or two in front of us that wasn't fixing their marks but there were 15-20 ball marks on some of the greens.) The fairways were in really good shape too. It was worth the $38 I paid to play the course. The people in the pro shop were friendly too.
It's open
Golfing was great, but with it open, it was full. Everyone kept their distance and the Marshall's were out making sure we were safe. Greens and fairways were in great shape.

Pristine condition
Challenging and beautiful, you can't beat the price and course condition
The course is good
Can’t be flexible to play the back 9 holes. Basically everyone starts at hole 1, causing traffic and longer waiting time.
Wet, Slow Greens
Overall condition pretty good with wet patches throughout the fairways. However, greens were a bit wet,soggy and very slow.
Staff in the pro shop are very nice and friendly!

It’s been over a year for me on this course and I wasn’t disappointed one bit, even the three singles that joined made the round better to play.
Wet, unmowed greens
I wouldn't play the course for a few weeks to let the greens come back.

Always ready to play!
Lake Spanaway is my "Go To" course in Pierce County. It is always kept is great condition and ready to play. The greens ARE green and kept immaculate. The fairways are well tended and problem spots are being fixed.
Best bang friendly staff
The staff at the desk is great. Being recognized when you come back adds a personal touch! The app gives you very nice perks and the course is in decent shape.
