Cedars at High Cedars Golf Club

The golf course is in very good condition. Fairways are well groomed and the greens are in good shape. Carts are updated with gps screens. Check-in staff at the desk are friendly. Check out some of the old cedar trees lining the fairways and the Cedar River flowing by. They are amazing! Hole #2 has an amazing view of Mt. Rainier behind the tee off. It’s a challenging course and the new carts with ‘stay on time’ screens keep the pace moving.

Let me start by saying I played this course several times before the renovation and it definitely LOOKS better. Greens are in better shape, tee boxes are better, the range looks really good. All that said, charging 100 bucks to WALK is ridiculous. The Home Course isn’t that much and it’s easily 3x the value. This course has the feel of being run by people with no idea what they’re doing. There’s no signage telling you where to go (which is minor as most of the holes flow well), but there’s no 150 stakes, no yardage signs, the Marshall wasn’t moving along pace of play, the sand traps were neglected, there’s no restaurant, it’s just a lot of small things that if the round cost 50 dollars I’d easily overlook it, but at what they are charging I would expect more attention to the little details.

Been playing here for nearly 30 years. The last couple years the place has gone downhill dramatically. It’s a shame because it’s close and a fun course (when maintained) and it’s pretty. Played Friday course was full, hit bar at turn at 6 and it was closed? Tried to take 7 year old son to practice on the exec 9 today. Didn't bring my clubs wanted to focus on his game. Was told that they now don’t allow spectators so I’m not allowed to walk with my son while he plays??? Last summer I tried to play with my older son (23) and I brought my 4 year old daughter. Again a packed day, I expected slow, no biggy. My older son forgot his clubs, so I pay for two golfers and to rent a set of clubs for the exec 9. It was close to $70. We walk out to hole one and get ready to tee off, I’m asked if my 4 year old is going to play. I said i brought her an iron and a putter and if we were waiting I planned to let her fool around. I’m sent back to the office to shell out another $20 for her as she needs to pay as well. nearly $100 for 3 peeps on a par 3.

After being told I can’t walk with my 7 year old today, I will never advocate or support this place again.

Although I have used GolfNow in the past to book at this course, they say that they are not affiliated with GN and will not honor your tee time. Fortunately for me after driving some distance to the course I was told if I paid again they would get me out as someone else had the time reserved through GN. I paid an addittional $67 and was able to play. This has to be fixed and I need a refund.

Guy did not honor golf now price that included cart. This is the second time with the same guy. He was very rude also. Course is way over priced for summer rates that’s why I tried to play during off season with cheaper rates, but front desk guy again didn’t honor my purchase.

The staff is rude and don’t honor the reservation including a cart and will charge an extra $20 when you check in. They treat you as inconvenience instead of a customer. It’s close to me and I’ve played here many times. The greens are in great shape but the course can get very soggy. But the staff at the pro shop ruin the experience.

Way too wet, mud everywhere, not good place for winter golf

This course is always fun. The leaves can make finding your ball a little tough if you are a hacker like me.

High Cedars is not a difficult course. It's Championship Course is a over glorified Executive 18. The greens are well kept and the 2nd cut is a reasonable length. Trees give this relatively flat course a challenge - but it's not enough of a challenge/experience to warrant the cost. Eagles Pride is $40, Druids is $75 - yet this Executive 18 is $100 on the weekend? No thanks!

So why did I play here if not willing to pay $100? I only come here for twilight in the Fall. However the fall yields a caveat....THE LEAVES! If your ball lands in any leaves...you might as well take a drop with a new ball. It's like the management blows the leaves back under the trees....and leave them their until all the trees are empty!

So in the end, the course design, tee box, greens, fairway, range is great...it's just not priced correctly, and full of leaves in the Fall when they do lower the prices
