Beautiful course!
Always a pleasure to play Lewis River! My favorite course in the Portland area.
Golfing Washington state
Course was in excellent condition. It was a little challenging because fairways are narrow. Also, if unfamiliar with course tee boxes and hole numbers a little confusing. All in all a nice experience.
Scenic course, great greens
In town for work, played the course alone. Great M-Th deal, $35 for unlimited golf, cart, and $5 food voucher anytime after 3. Plenty of trees, but not too many. Really enjoyed the layout. The outward 9 is short so it's a good warmup for a lengthy back side. I rode but it is a great course for walking - planning to play again before leaving town.
Great Track
This is a beautiful course and is manicured to perfection. The greens are some of the best I have encountered on a public course and they are fast. Keep the ball below the hole and maintain your rhythm on your putting stroke as it doesn't take much of a mistake to end up three putting. This was my first time on this course and I suggest requesting to be paired with someone has played it previously. I'll certainly return when I'm in the area again. Great Track, fun to play and friendly Staff.
New Favorite SW WA Course
Lewis River GC is the perfect scenic course for locals in the southwest WA area. It has everything from a challenging 600yd par 5 to nice easy par 3s over water hazards. I'm going to make it a habit to return.
Beautiful course, as always. Greens are greatly improved!
Hadn't played Lewis River in year's, but got a great GolfNow "Hot Deal" and couldn't pass it up. Had a great time, despite my poor score. Great setting and scenery. The course is gorgeous and the greens are significantly better than a few years back. I will be back!
Tree lined course
After a very wet winter/spring, the course played pretty well. Some standing water, greens rolled well. Stray shots find the trees easily.
Lewis River Golf course is a drainer!
We play golf all winter long because LR drains really well. There are some soggy spots but for the most part it's super playable in the rain or sunshine
Great raining day course
The course was in great condition considering the massive amount of rain the area has gotten. Had a great time.
Fun course, always worth it.
There has been a lot of rain around these parts lately but the course was in pretty good shape. The greens rolled well and were still fast. My son and I played nine holes in one hour and thirty minutes.
Scramble
I play a few times a year at Lewis River and usually enjoy a leuisurely round on a nicely maintained course. This time, however, I was grouped behind a tournament of 30+ handicappers. As I watched a foursome on 10 hit 4 straight balls into the trees 30 yards to the right of them, I knew it was going to be a slow round. Luckily I was joined by 3 golf buddies who made the walk a little more enjoyable. 3:15 to play 9 holes.
Northwest Walk in a Park
Having lived in Vancouver for 3 years, I had not made it to Lewis River yet and heard good and bad things. We played early on a busy Saturday with a few events. Pace of play was great (4 hrs 10 mins) and staff was friendly and kind. Course had some issues with the greens as some turf loss was in spots and they had re seeded some collars and surrounds... they weren't very fast but rolled ok.. Some good views of the Lewis River from the patio too! It's a fun NW course, that isn't terribly long, you can easily walk and have a fun time. It might be a bit over priced, but I would come back.
Bad employees
This the second time I have used Golf Now at Lewis River. The first time the guy behind the counter was upset because we got the price of 10.00 dollars to play 18. This time the guy was rude when we asked if we could go off early because there was nobody at the tee box. He told us when you book on Golf Now I can make you wait until your tee time. We waited 45 minutes and nobody was teeing off.
I love playing here but everytime we book with Golf Now we are treated bad
Play Lewis River!!
Just a terrific place to play golf and get away from the city...and a great value for the money!
The course is nicely laid out in a beautiful mountain and scenic setting.
It is a fun and somewhat challenging course to play. They did had some bare spots on some of the greens and approach to the greens. It was an overall enjoyable course to play. The $5 food/beverage certificate is a plus.
