Fun day of golf
Conditions were slightly wet. Nothing you can do about that, but the greens were very patchy, multiple stray balls on every hole, and the course had many divots on and off the green. It was early in the season however and the golf course has a good layout and the round was fun!
Manager cussed us out over something that wasn't that big of a deal because we accidently put a tire on the green. He never gave a warning and proceeded to sit there and watch our shots. Like, we should have our privacy and not be looked over all the time and I got hit by a stray golf ball and nobody gave a warning no heads up or nothing and then we look over and there are kids laughing at us. My and my group will not be coming here again until the management backs off.
Great course
The staff is very friendly. The front nine was great pace of play. The back nine was slow.
Unsafe
The driving range is squeezed between two fairways. There is a sign at the driving range telling people only use irons and don’t hit balls in the 7th fairway. There are always lots of range balls on the 7th fairway. The driving range and the 7th hole tee boxes are next to each other and driving the same direction. I was hit by a rogue ball line drive in my left temple on the 7th fairway by someone that was on the driving range. I was taken to the ER via ambulance. When I asked the golf course superintendent and the city of Appleton director of parks and rec about a net being placed to protect golfers their response was that golfers should be aware of their surroundings. So please be careful on the 7th fairway. Make sure you watch for people on the driving range.
the course was in good shape, the pace of play was good for a muni on a beautiful saturday afternoon. we finished in 4 hours and 20 minutes. for the most part it is not a real tough layout but the huge greens were very fast and had a lot of challenging pin placements
Overall nice course
The front 9 was a bit slow. We were backed up to the two groups ahead of us but once we got to the back nine we moved quickly. The course is pretty and for late summer it was in great condition. I would recommend and will go back myself next chance I get.
Excellent Golf Course!
I came to the golf course this past Sunday with my wife and two close friends. We golfed 18-holes while using a cart, and it was amazing! The carts were well kept, the course was in excellent condition, and the beverage cart was timely and professional. I certainly would golf here again, and recommend it to anyone who asks!
Nice greens
The greens were really nice, large and good rollout on putts. Pace was quick even with groups ahead and behind us, finished in 3 1/2 hours on a weekday (midday).
Course and Staff great following heavy rain
Despite heavy rain that closed several courses, Reid was open for walking only. The fairways and greens were in great condition although slightly soggy in some areas. Reid was pumping water off the course which made it playable and mostly great condition. The staff was very friendly. Pace of play was quite fast on the second half but a little slower to start due to all walkers not accustomed to the walk.
Overall, I'd recommend this course.
Good shape
Had an early am tee time. Not crowded at 8:00a. Moved along nicely. Fairways and greens were very good. Tricky if your first time but easy to score pars once you’ve been around it a couple times.
