Very Good Public Golf Course
The staff is always very accommodating and the golf course is in very good shape
Very nice parkland course in the center of town
Reid is a nice-to-very nice golf course perfectly centrally located. On the card it doesn't look long but you'll hit driver on most holes and it has all you want in length, especially a few of the par 4's (5,9,14,15). Fairways have been great the last few years and greens in really good shape also. Greens have some contour so distance control to the right spots is crucial or you'll have some tough reads. Lots of big trees and a few water hazards so straight is definitely better here. Clubhouse serves variety of beers (I am sure they have soda, too) and pizzas/burgers. 3 practice greens and a smallish driving range. Over all very nice course and good value. Great values for twilight and spring/fall.
Good value
It’s a straight course with not much trouble. Helps the fade player more than a draw guy. Course has been in better condition the past couple years. Great value if you go at twilight but can be very slow. Basics golf course food selection. Burgers and brats and apps. Only course that I’ve been at that has no liquor. Kinda stinks
Golfer friendly course.
For a Park District course this is a very well kept maintained Golf Course. The fairways were just wright, the greens could use a little help but as I said for a Park District kept course Very acceptable. Staff was friendly and helpful.
A fun time!
I've always really liked the course and particularly enjoy it with the changes made. Makes the course quite a challenge. It's just such a nice thing for Appleton to have and would really hate to see this area used for anything else. San Diego, CA has Balboa Park golf course built in the heart of the city and they don't seem to have a problem with it. Reid is just a lovely course! I think the cost was a bit stiff at $42 but it was what I think I paid. I did not play this year because I had my Achilles tendon removed and replaced with the tendon from my great toe. Next year I will however!
First time golfing Reid.
Nice little course. We enjoyed the entire experience. The greens were particularly tough which I like. We will certainly golf here again.
A very nice municipal course. In better than average condition. Layout is average with little elevation change on the front and a couple nice looking holes on the back.
Fantastic Fall Deal
Played the course for $20 for 18 and a cart. Great deal in the fall. Course was in great shape and they did a good job removing the leaves from fairways and greens. Well run Muni
Great Course
The course was in great shape and provided a very nice golf experience. The staff was awesome and helpful. First time playing Reid but will definitely be looking for an opportunity to return.
Great course for us 'regular' people
Nice place, decent variety of hole, especially front to back nines difference. Friendly staff, no problems with being a GolfNow booking. Regular cars in the parking lot, no fancy things with showy people, comfortable setting for me! Will be back.
Awesome condition
I have golfed at Reid several times over the years. it is always in great shape!! The holes can be challenging yet very fair. The greens are similar in speed on each one. They are somewhat fast and I love that. The course is nice and green and lush.
Really nice course
Fairways, greens and tee boxes were great!!
They have real sand in the traps unlike a lot of courses that have stone, mud, sand mix
Absolutely worth it.
Excellent staff, wonderful course, well-laid out, and plays medium difficulty. Minor maintenance shortcomings, and driving range balls create confusion around neighboring holes due to location. But definitely, would play again, and recommend others do so.
Nice old course.
This course took me back to the old walking type courses. It has a tight layout. The back nine is especially challenging. We did encounter slow play on the back nine because they seemed to be letting groups on from a league or something. Nice course though. I would play again.
Beautiful fairways
Great course - had a single in front of us (twosome) and he was very slow and often played 2 balls no Marshall ?
