Beautiful view of Mt. Bachelor
Nice course with beautiful fairways & greens. Pace of play was horrible! Lots of standing around & waiting for groups ahead. Marshall could helped out with the pace. Could of also been slow due to cart path only? You need to a code to enter the bathrooms; would of been great to know when we checked in rather than finding out at the 4th hole. I had to call the pro shop for the code and getting through their phone tree was fun... otherwise a good value.
Lovely course
Only problem was lots of single players were sent out after us which made us feel pushed
Non - responsive to slow play
We arrived at the course and found firstly the Pro Shop desk staff indifferent to us as customers.
Understanding that this is a resort course we knew that it would be more busy then other courses we played, but we weren't prepared for the extreme slow play we encountered. On the second hole the group ahead of us spent more then 10 minutes in the fairway at the refreshment cart while we waited to hit our second shots. After 2 holes we were 45 minutes on the course... ridiculous. We called out to them with no response. We stopped the cart spoke to the girl regarding the wait and slow play to ask her to report and send a Marshall out to get the game moving. Prior to tee off the starter warned us the group in front of us was more interested in the beer cart not golf. It was distressing to see them drive the power carts up on to the aprons of the greens and drive to the environmentally sensitive areas. We flagged down a grounds crew member and informed him of this situation. He called someone by the name of Len and reported what we had said, he also said we worked to hard to maintain the course conditions to let someone disrespect the course in this way. Someone would be out shortly, he described the group to Len. We never saw anyone come out to address the issues with the foursome ahead of us. I guess the resort is more concerned about keeping the resort guests happy then maintaining a degree of etiquette on the course. We breathed a sigh a of relief when we the foursomes stopped for lunch and we could get ahead of them. Bottom line slow play, beer cat, non - response from the Pro shop prompted this review. Posted photo of them driving their carts up on #8 par 3 close to the green, did this on all holes, no regards for the course. We as a fioursome do not have any intetrest in going back to this course.

Beautiful course
My wife and I played on a midweek afternoon. Course is very nice and in a beautiful resort location. Lots of sand, sand, sand. At least 3 traps that surround every green so that is where the difficulty comes in. The fall colors were changing so it was a great round and the weather was in the 70's
This course has interesting features in and out of wooded areas
This course is definitely one you will want to play...a good challenge with the new sand traps with long grass on the edge of the trap between you and the green.
Great round
Really enjoyed playing The Meadows at Sunriver. The course was in great shape and definitely provided a challenge!
Challenging course, beautiful surroundings
Redone bunkers are excellent with new sand and new design. Greens are hard to hold, but roll true. Slightly elevated greens and thick second cut of rough present extra challenges.
Accuracy is a premium when playing this course.
Excellent course, good ability to see the line
Meadows is a great course, very fair and fun to play. Always in great condition. They rebuilt the bunkers last year and they are settling in nicely this year.
Great Resort Course
Sunriver Resort makes improvements to this course almost every year. This year the bunkers were redesigned, filled with great sand & fescue grass was installed around the edges to resemble a links course. This course is fun to walk & you will enjoy the layout. I would highly recommend adding this course to your bucket list.
Always a Fun Experience
Being a Sunriver resident and a Crosswater member, I play this course quite often. It is always in excellent condition. The new bunkers (2016) have improved the challenge and the esthetics. The course offers a fair challenge to golfers of all levels but does not overly punish for the inevitable errant shot. The views are exceptional, if one takes the time to enjoy them! A great course to walk.
Nice Course
Fun course to play if you want a challenge. With new greens last year and new bunkers this year the course is in great shape. Greens roll true. Try to stay out of the bunkers.
Very friendly for a walker but carts are free..
The course is quite flat with nice scenery on every hole. The new sand bunkers and greens are very nice. The fairways are lush and green. The course maintenance is superb. The staff is right there to help you at every turn. The course can be as hard/challenging as you want to make it with five teeing positions. There are no blind shots from the tee that yield a surprise when you reach your ball, like some courses. It is appropriate for the high handicapper as well as the low handicapper. Every golfer can enjoy their golf on Meadows.
An Updated Classic Golf Course
I live in Sunriver and have an annual pass so I can play the Meadows and Woodlands as often as possible. Never get tired or bored with the courses. The Meadows has rebuilt all of their bunkers with a new concept. High grass around them and soft sand in them. Very interesting. They have a great practice bunker that should be used to get the feel of the sand. The driving range is great.
Most of the course is level. There are a few water hazards but nothing too difficult. A few of the fairways are in the woods and are narrow and long. Some of the fairways are in the open which can expose you to the wind. The greens are all newly seeded and are very true. Course maintenance is great. The main Sunriver Resort Lodge is at the start and end of each 9 holes. Great place to relax after a round.
Very fine course
While I play this course regularly, I always enjoy the experience with some challenging holes and very playable ones
The course is now in very good condition with fast and true greens ( although could be more receptive) well groomed fairways and new sand traps which can be tough, but fair.
The views are wonderful.
The course has challenging sand traps
Watch getting into the sand traps. They have been completely redone and are more like the sand traps at the US Open in Washington. They have done a great deal of work on the greens and are very true. The staff makes you very welcome.
SR Meadows
The new bunkers are challenging but provide consistency throughout the course.
Beautiful views of the Cascades
Beautiful Course
This course is in excellent condition & is one of the finest resort courses in Central Oregon. I would highly recommend playing it.
Great staff, great conditions
Classic Sunriver - a must play course.
great greens and cool bunkers!
new bent grass greens are perfect. Bunkers were recently remodeled and are perfect.
