The Club at Shannondell, formerly known as George Washington Golf Course, has been ranked by Golf Digest as one of the "25 Best Golf Courses in Pennsylvania" and it's also on their list of "Best Places to Play." From the back tees, the course is just over 6,100 yards. Put away your driver because there won't be many chances to grip it and rip it on this course. It's a seemingly mild layout with wide, gently rolling fairways that appear forgiving, but the strategically placed hazards along the pitched greens demand well placed shots. The cut of the rough is also higher and there are several doglegs, placing even further emphasis on accuracy. Proper club selection is also very important on this golf course. The Club at Shannondell is a fun but fair test for players of all skill levels.

Nice Course
Nice course, very friendly staff. Good pace of play. Course is in great shape. Greens could be faster.
Course is closed— no refund
I book this course and when I arrived, the course was closed for the day due to bad weather.
I asked for rain check. They said I need to callGolf now
I have reached out to GolfNow and waiting for a response
Haven’t heard anything…..
Too slow for me
The course was in good condition but the pace of play was terrible. I quit after it took two hours and forty minutes to play nine holes.
Traps
The traps were horrible- hard sand, almost like dirt - impossible to get clean hit
Enjoyed it
4 hours for 18 with 4 of us. Never really had to wait. Course in really good condition for public course
Blah, confusing course layout
The fairways are close to each other that is hard to say if the golfers are in your fairway or not. The layout is just confusing. Which fairway to go???
Aggravating….
Wasn’t a bad course at all… Pace of play kind of ruined it …. Front nine went pretty quick but on the back nine was backed up on every hole had to wait about 20 minutes and took forever…… Also was behind a single that refused to play with anybody it was awful so that didn’t help either
